Disabling "Delay of Game" Penalty?

Is there any way to disable the "delay of game" penalties in Madden 2K5 without disabling all other penalties?

I'm still a newbie at this game, and I'm often using up more than my 40 seconds to choose a play, read formations, and make audibles. I'd like to disable the "delay of game" penalty while I'm still getting my feet wet.

I do not know of a way to do that, but one thing I definitely recommend is using Hot Route and Playmaker more often than audibling. Audibles take forever to set up since most of them change the formation. If you picked a pass play and don't like the routes, just change them by hitting triangle, selecting the receiver (R1, L1, Square, Circle, etc.) and using the D-Pad to give them a different route (up = streak, down = comebacker, right = in, etc.). Play with that because it is much quicker. The only downside is that if you're the away team, there may be times when your receivers do not hear it (and you will see them motion that they don't) so they will not run an effective route.

Good luck, it took me a while to pick it up a couple years ago and every year I need to get reacclimated before venturing out against others.

Also try using just a formation change instead. Rtrigger and Dpad
