Fumbles and Interceptions
I feel the game is great and is very accurate.Last season in the NFL the average team fumbled 2.1 times per game while the average team also threw 1.65 interceptions per game.Last season there was over 650 fumbles committed in the regular season and a total of 528 interceptions thrown.Tags: None -

Re: Fumbles and Interceptions
It's funny. A couple of days ago, i was about to toss the game out the window due to the amount of TOs and how many TDs resulted from them.
All of a sudden, whether it be the new roster or whatever, those issues have almost vanished. My last 3-4 games have been REALLY good. The computer on All-Pro has thrown just a tad more INTs than I would like, but not too bad. If the fumbles are fixed, I'll just bump it up to All-madden to fix that if I need to. -

Re: Fumbles and Interceptions
I haven't said much about this, but I think its time I say something. I have seen a few comments about the accuracy of fumbles and interceptions, and I disagree. In most games, its not the amount of fumbles, but who does the fumbling. It seems to be my RBs fumbling all the time. During the 2006 regular season, the highest amount of fumbles by any player was 7. A Raiders QB fumbled 7 times. Most running backs were around 4, and the elite were 1-2. Larry Johnson led the league in carries and fumble TWICE. I am also seeing more than 1.65 INTs in a game. Its not the fumbles, it is who is fumbling, and when they are fumbling.I feel the game is great and is very accurate.Last season in the NFL the average team fumbled 2.1 times per game while the average team also threw 1.65 interceptions per game.Last season there was over 650 fumbles committed in the regular season and a total of 528 interceptions thrown.Comment

Re: Fumbles and Interceptions
I played a game today where there where 11 interceptions and 8 fumbles(both teams combined). Explain the realism of that to me. 2 out of those 11 interceptions were legit, all the rest were ridiculous and unrealistic. As for the fumbles, on one play there were 3 fumbles alone. I wish I couldve saved those fumbles and intos and uploaded them online, so I can read a fanboy justifying those turnoversComment

Re: Fumbles and Interceptions
after turning the int slider down to 0 I don't see "unrealistic" ints. And I have never encountered the fumble problem.
I am now 5 games into my franchise (9 games total including pre-season) and after the 5th game of the year, I have 9 turnovers as a team. I have 6 interceptions(Russell has no accuacy) and 3 fumbles(2 by Russell and one by Carr on kickoff return)
I play on All-MaddenI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

This logic is severely flawed,I'm sorry to burst your bubble...but Madden is FAR from being realistic based on the averages you gave.I feel the game is great and is very accurate.Last season in the NFL the average team fumbled 2.1 times per game while the average team also threw 1.65 interceptions per game.Last season there was over 650 fumbles committed in the regular season and a total of 528 interceptions thrown.
As an example....we'll use the CPU int issue.....
Theirs 32 qb's in the league (starting) each one of them throws 3 pics (in Madden) that comes to 96 pics for the combined qb's...now figure that over an entire season.....that comes out to 1536 total combined int's for the league.
This game is FAR from being accurate.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

I don't see every QB throwing 3 picks a game. I don't remember when the last time the cpu threw 3 picks in a game total. 5 weeks into my franchise I have 2 ints on the yearThis logic is severely flawed,I'm sorry to burst your bubble...but Madden is FAR from being realistic based on the averages you gave.

Re: Fumbles and Interceptions
I'm using 3 as an average,I've had several games where the cpu has thrown 2,4,5 and as many as 7. I picked 3 as a "happy medium" if there is one.
I played a game last night where Mcnabb only threw 1 pic,at first I thought "cool" as I made a few slider adjustments and thought the problem "could" be corrected, then I played San Diego, Rivers threw 5....so that whole theory went out the window.
If you don't mind me asking....what level are you on,and how do you have you defensive sliders set. In particular....AWR, KNDWN and Int's.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Fumbles and Interceptions
The appropriate statistic for comparison is not fumbles/INT per game but per PLAY. If 2 NFL teams combine with a total of 120 plays in a game - and 2 Madden players have half as much on 5 minute quarters the statistics will lie.Comment

My theory is that they made the hit stick too powerful and when playing on all-madden the computer hit sticks you on almost every play. I can't stand the people that tell you to use the cover up button, because it really doesn't help and if you aren't using the juke/truck stick on all-madden it is seriouly hard to get yards. I'm not going to use the cover up button so I can get tackled for a gain of 2-3 yards.Comment

I play on All-Madden with the defensive sliders all at default with the exception of ints. It is set at 0 for both teams. If it matters, I have the offensive sliders at default and am playing on the PS3.
I know that 3 was an "average" but I seriously do not remember a game where I have had a team throw more than 3 ints in a game ever since I put the sliders to where they are now.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
