How will you approach Madden this year?
I been very disappointed the last 3 years of this game. Maybe I was expecting too much out of it. But I think this year instead of putting it on reserve as usual and waiting for the midnight release, I think I'll hold off until ALL the REVIEWS, especially ones from users.

Re: How will you approach Madden this year?
I'm actually adding several layers of security this season... I will:
1. Play the demo a lot (hopefully it's released before launch)
2. If I like the demo I will play someone else's for a while
3. If I still like it after that I will rent it.
4. If after all of that I still like the game, I'll buy it.Comment

Re: How will you approach Madden this year?
At very best I will rent it. I mean they haven't changed much in the past 5 years so why would they start now? If they do make any changes they will be very small because they refuse or just don't want to take into account what their fans want.
I am sick of supporting this group of slackers. I think the franchise would be better off if they just brought in a completely new team to wrok on the project. Or at least bring in someone to head up the team that has some fresh ideas.Comment

A completely new team is working on Madden 10.
No one from the 07/08/09 Tiburon team is working on madden 10.Comment

Where did you get this info from? Aside from a new producer (Ian) and a guy from HC (Danny) I think the team is still the same. Phil got a promotion but I believe he worked on Madden last lear.Comment

Re: How will you approach Madden this year?
Madden is easily my most anticipated game every year. I have bought Madden on launch day every year since 2001.
However Ive been dissapointed with Madden's lackluster presentation since the days of the original Xbox (and after playing 2K5 which I bought again recently). I like the steps EA took last year to improve the graphics and somewhat address key presentation flaws, but its not nearly enough. Im satisfied with the gameplay as it is (although working AI sliders are desperately needed to fix CPU QB accuracy, etc.).
So this season it is inevitable that I will be soaking up all the hype and promises EA throws our way, but I've learned from my mistakes. Unless there are some MAJOR - and I mean HUGE upgrades to Madden's presentation in 2010 (the 5th year on the 360!) - I will not be getting the game for the first time in almost a decade. This means adding lots of playable camera angles, pre/halftime/postgame shows w/commentary, live franchise tickers, out of town scores and highlights as they happen in franchise mode, dynamic weather, lively sidelines, chain gang, improved play by play announcing, more emotion....all of it. Without these much needed "beyond broadcast" quality improvements I will be playing Madden 09 for another season.Comment

They do have new leadership that has been interacting with OS. There is some optimism based off that.
Also, they have been here at OS to discover what the fans want.Comment

Re: How will you approach Madden this year?
picking the game up the Friday before release just like I have the previous 3 years and like I'll do for the forseeable future.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
