Will/Can the LAG Issue be fixed?

I understand there being some lag, this is an online game. However, there are some little laggy events that take place while playing Madden games online, that seem to really have no purpose in being laggy.
    -Flipping the Coin
    -Kickoff/Punt
    -Choosing a Play
I mean, I'm a sophomore studying computer programming. While I may not know the details, isn't it possible to make these tasks be done locally(on your console) before being sent the person you're playing against? I doubt the lag would be as noticeable to them, because they're not the ones making the decisions.

Like I said, I'm not the one looking at the code, so I have no idea how it's being done. I just think this would improve the quality of online play. Flipping a coin is the first thing you get to do in the game, and waiting for it to flip is a pretty bad first impression of playing online.

The kickoff/punt thing is just common sense. Sure, during a kickoff you'll probably just kick the thing as hard as you can. But what if you're punting from the 38 yard line and want to pin them in their territory? The bar would definitely come in handy.

Choosing a play is just a matter of time constraints. When you have 9 seconds to choose a play, and the lag is 1 second...it just feels sloppy to see the play be scrolled over a second after you moved the sticks.

    Just my two cents.

Feel free to add "Navigating the Depth Chart" and "Viewing Stats" to that list. Navigating ANY menu should NEVER EVER EVER EVER be laggy period.

I haven't played Madden online since Madden 2008, but I remember the online menus being so extremely laggy, I could barely navigate. Being a mostly online player, I ended up selling the game because it was so bad. Was 2009 any better?
