Madden 10 on Pc

US, July 29, 2008 - Many were upset by the report that Madden 09 would not be appearing on PC, with EA Sports citing "serious business challenges" as the reason.

During a financial call today the mega-publisher announced that it would be bringing Madden back off the bench next year (along with other shelved games) on PC. Peter Moore said EA Sports will be "Retooling these titles to take advantage of the online connectivity in a bigger and more meaningful way. Stay tuned for more on this."

Ummm, yes of course we were. If they're worried about extra costs and piracy why not just make the game an online download purchase only. This saves on packaging and distribution and would also make it more difficult to pirate (if done correctly). This all could have been put in place last year for this years release so in my opinion there is really no excuse for not porting the Xbox 360 version to PC. All They have to do is literally press a button to compile it for the PC platform, its a shame

There is nothing EA can do to prevent their game from being pirate.

Digital download or DRM.

The more protection it has, the more likely it will be hacked.

The only way Madden 10 on PC could work if it was like an online game only, like online superstar or something.

I thought Steam was the answer to pirating? I never understood wanting to play Madden on the PC though. PC is for RTS, shooters, strategy, and RPGs, not for action games... at least for me.

hmm somewhat agree but ive been playing NBA2k9 for the pc now...i just love mods

Even online games can be pirated. Do a search for "World of Warcraft private server" some day.

Exactly. Either way they should release it for the PC, put it up on Steam and lets get it going. And high end computers are more powerful than game systems, so it handles all genres of games well

i have nba 2k9 on pc... its amazing!!!

the graphics is insane on my pc, and it works great with a 360controler.


why cant they make you just have to sign in every time you play?

You know everywhere I see release info for this game they list PC as well. IGN, the Preview videos and all that... so either they know something or they are just plain wrong.

The interesting thing is that the PC game has ALWAYS been the PS2 version of the game... I wonder if the next PC game (if it appears) will be the PS3 version of the game.

"I think [EA Sports president Peter Moore] said it multiple times… there's a lot of PCs out there. We know there's a market for a PC title, so we're looking at that experience, we're looking at the PC market, trying to design a game that would appeal to that audience, as well as solve some of the piracy issues that we see. The fact is that it just wasn't a great business for us [in the past]. So, we're looking at it and we're working on it right now and once we have a solution, we'll be sure to announce it to everybody."
