RATINGS GUYS..BRETT FAVRE AS VIKINGS QB

Ok well I think we all have heard what is going on and it sounds as if this is pretty much a done deal. What I want to know is what do you all think Favre will be rated as the starting QB for the Vikings? I am terrible at the ratings game but I know there are alot of you who put alot of time into this. Would be interesting to get your input as I believe they will be adding him shortly.

No way is Favre a 93.

His deep balls arent even that pretty anymore. Mid 80s.

Brett Favre overall, I feel should be an 88 at best. He is still solid, but not elite, and 93 is pretty much elite.

Overall 93?..common man ..he sucked statistically in 08 and look absolutely dreadful in the latter part of the season perhaps causing the Jets to miss the playoffs.
I would've ike to hear your suggested Favre rating if he was still a packer

I like your stats, he would be a good addition to the team as long as he keeps his turn overs down. He would have Adrian in the backfield and that would help keep the defense honest. He can still play so I hope its a done deal. I like watching him play cause he plays the game correctly, hard and he has fun too.

Cough... cough... vikings fan much? Seriously, this is too high, like someone said before an 88 is fine and maybe a bit generous. He underthrew the deep ball alot last year and hasn't been working out so i say an 86

i agree, 93 is too high. 88 is better for him being he took a huge step backwards last year and he is old. His arm strength is still very good(when healthy) but his accuracy is not great. but still, 88 is a lot better then Ferotte's mid 70's.

based on last year he is nothing more than an 85 overall. his deep ball is pretty much non existent now. anytime he tried to go deep last year he threw a crazy moon ball that usually ended up in the opposing teams hands.

This guy needs to stop "retiring" just so he can go and play for different teams. His whole indecision about retiring is getting as old as he is. For all the love and support the Greeny Bay fans gave him for years and the way they helped make him the idol he is, the fact that he is considering playing for the Vikings is a stone-cold slap in the face. If he does play for the Vikes, I hope the Packer fans let him hear it big time. I understand that as a player he has a right to pick where to play just as I have the right to apply for place of work. However, in sports it is different. You make your money because fans are willing to pay to watch you play a game. Your big pay check is because of the fans that root for you. Green Bay fans absolutely adored Favre and for him to be like this is despicable. He's worse than T.O. in my opinion; to me his notoriety is on par with Bonds and Clemens. Granted, Favre never used PEDs but he is as much of an jerk IMO.

I agree with the poster above. Even considering his shoulder injury, he did not have the rocket arm he used to have. I think mid-80s is appropriate. Accuracy should be relatively low, he has far too many errant passes.

Are you freaking kidding me? he play's correctly??....tell me when firing a pass into double and triple coverage which he does on a regular basis became correct?...he undoubtedly has great passion and love for the game and makes highlight reel plays ..but to say he plays the game correctly?? what does that mean? and what does AP have to do with Favres stats? the same thing could be said about Jackson and Rosenfels. i'm not trying to pick fight here so please don't take it personally..i just don't understand where your coming from?

Maybe i'm just to worked up about this whole favre to the vike's situation.

I'd say overall 80-83. Remember that the reatings are scaled down. Who knows how that bicep is holding up...

Suggestion to Ian and the Rating Guys:
Bret Farve: 61 Overall, 40 Pass Strength(1 point per yard he through at the end of the Jets season), 20 Deep ball Acc, and make sure you put his Injury at 2 so I can forcefully retire him in Madden.
