What I'd like to see in Madden 10.....

Go back to the basics!! When EA made madden for the next gen consoles, they built the game from the ground up. I'm pretty sure the game would be great if they just ported the last gen game with better graphics.

A few of the things I would like to see are....

Interactive Franchise Mode
I really liked the fact that they had a radio show in the game that told the users what was going on around the league. There was also the newspaper, e-mail and OWNER MODE. That's where you could change all of the prices for everything. Owner mode also allowed the users to relocate the team to another city to make more money, customize the stadium to have more modern features and also customize jerseys. Franchise felt like you were taking over your own NFL team. The franchise mode in the next gen is just 16 games strung together then playoffs and then the offseason. In the last gen Madden games, there was a tab that told the users the top three plays that would work or offense and defense vs that week's opponent and you could also check what 3 pass, run and defensive plays they opponents uses week in and week out. I was more like real life football how you scouted the other teams.


Implement the Vision Cone
The vision cone in my opinion was the best feature on offense because it actually made you read the defense. People on these next gen games can throw laser rocket balls to receivers because they just wait for one rout. I'm not saying everyone does this but its not right to be able to look straight for 3 steps and then pivot and throw every time. There need to be some type of progression where you can read high to low/low high, or middle to outside/outside to middle. DBs are taught to read the qb's eyes in zone so staring down your target would get you more picks than tds. I remember that if you couldn't use the cone on All Madden, you weren't going to win unless you ran for 250+ yards and had an elite defense. Just watch football on TV and you'll see a QB look at least one guy before he throws.


Different Controller Configurations
I like the next gen configurations but they left out a few moves/buttons so i think they should let you use the classic 05 controls so you can use a head fake/juke. The highlight stick is either a hop to the right/left. I liked the Madden 07 moves on PS2 where the back would dip his shoulders in the hole or make a quick cut with the L1/R1 buttons. I'm not saying they have to change the defaut contols, but just give us the option.


The next gen consoles have so much power, so why don't they use it?

If next-gen consoles were running with current-gen graphics then these consoles are powerful. But they don't...

They run on 1080p and thats a crapload of detail.

And they make the game to appeal to the masses.
