Mouthguards??

What happened to the mouthguards in Madden? They haven't had them in a while and judging by the new screenshots and videos, there won't be any in Madden 10. Anybody know why??

Are you f*cking kidding? Its actually pretty noticeable between plays when you see players. Looks stupid how absoolutely NO ONE has a mouthguard...Not even running backs or linebackers...

No I am not kidding, because I do not muck around and watch every cut scene after every play, I play for the game not to see if some dude is missing a mouth guard or his visor is wrong or he's missing a tat.

not a huge deal but as i said before..its the small things that count

I personally think the majority of the players that have noticeable mouthguards look more realistic when they have them in a game due to the fact thats what we see when we watch them

you can be all about the game you want but most people want realism...if everyone wanted an arcade style football im pretty sure we would all be pulling out some NFL Blitz.

Im not saying anything bad about your personal opinion..im just saying. To get the real effect that jumps out at you and says hey..this feels real..again its the small things that matter. Whether it be the mouthguards that he started this post about..tattoo's..players personal celebrations..etc. Honestly theres no reason all of that shouldnt be in any next gen madden game. Madden is "suppose" to be about realism. If you want realism..you give each player what makes them..well..them. Take Steve Smith for example..since he is one of my fav players. If they gave smith his signature superman tattoo on his arm....or made him jump up and talk smack with people after making a catch...that would feel real to me because thats what i see when i watch football.

Have you been drinking tonight? A mouth-guard is a basic peace of safety equipment that should be in the game.

we don't see ads on sunday...maybe on TV but not in the actual game...

I agree, where in the world are the mouth guards? I've been saying this for three years now.

I love how people can cry about hand towels, socks, colored cleats, visors, and grass, but asking for mouth guards is deemed patently absurd.

I would personally prefer the mouth guards over the hand towels and handwarmers... maybe even the colored cleats too...

Well they need to be in but ain't that dig a deal. I never really pay any attention to little things like that. But maybe at the last second Ian will put it in madden 10. But if not it could be added to madden 11.:wink:

I completely agree. This feature has been gone for about two years now, I think -- and it should be in the game.
