I was wondering if madden could get better mini games, for example Ncaa has Tug Of War, Bowling, and etc. Do you think madden should create games like that and maybe add them to online play for more fun? Well, tell me what you think.
I play mostly Madden 09 and Ncaa 09 for Xbox 360.My Xbox currently broke but if you would like to play me ill find a way to play you.
The mini-games trainining modes that where in last gen (xbox/ps2) Madden were fun, improved your skills and just plain good, they should be added to next gen, improved and expanded.
Why those mini games and training games where removed and replaced in next gen with bench pressing and a 40 yard dash is beyone my understanding.
What was David Ortiz's mindset when he had those next-gen mini-games in Madden? The ones in old-gen were fine. They helped you get better, and they were fun to play, especially Rushing Attack...

+1. The swat ball drill was my personal favorite. Each one helped you play the position better in the game tho. I thought for sure we'd see a lot of ps2 stuff make a come back, but it doesnt seem like anything besides assign db did.

I remember that one and also the QB pocket passing.
I loved but at the same time hated the intensisty of the QB presence drill where the balls got fired at you and you had to stay in the pocket and deliver a timely pass to the correct dummy.

You probably never made it to the All-Madden level.

No, I probably would have broke a controller trying to do that. I hope Ian reads this and brings back the mini/training games back from last gen.
Imagine incorporating them to online single player and multiplayer, with record boards. Some modes would only work with single player, but others would work with mult-iplayer such as the runninback drills, one player could be a running back and the others could control the linebackers.
It's like the next-gen developers for next-gen 06 decided to take out the solid aspects of last gen madden and replace them with trash. I could understand evolving to something better or enhancing what is there, but they did the opposite and trashed some excellent mini-game practice drills. Not only that they replaced them with horrible things that had nothing to do with the game and seemed like some old button smashing arcade game.
