Why all the resentment?

So is anyone satisfied with the demo? Before the demo came out, it seems like 9 out of 10 posts were showing excitement for the game, and now its the exact opposite. Everyone is finding something wrong with the game, whether its the run animations, pass/run blocking, the apparent return of the RC, etc..

It just seems like there's a lot of people who are saying that EA lied to us again, and there's the same issues in 10 that there were in 09.

I for one, am very satisfied with the demo. I am finding a few things wrong with it here and there, but I'm not going to start bashing until I play the final build.

I would like to thank Ian and the team for listening to us and putting out Madden that is finally sim-style. Thus far, I am very pleased with what I have seen, and it only adds to my anticipation for the actual release.

Love it. I kind of feel like I am playing 2k5 when I am playing the demo. Is anyone else feeling the same way? I mean, i haven't played 2k5 since the demo came out either.

9 out of 10 people do like demo. But the 1 out of 10 person who hates the demo, post 9 out of 10 times.

I play football, so I think I have an understanding how football works and I think this game represents it very good. Don't speak for thousands when those thousands don't need speaking for.

It's really weird. I'm shocked people expected a drastic change.

It's a new team and they're taking a step forward for the better. Pro-Tak seems promising. The presentation is a huge upgrade over last year's bland-ness. lol. Also, the game does a great job of representing the fundamentals of football.

I dunno... I guess in a few years, we'll all be happy with the game fully.

Yea, the running game and running animations look a whole lot better in 2k8. I have 2k8 and 2k5 BTW. But Madden 10 has a pretty new team and I feel that this game feels like a brand new series really and I think it finally puts 2k5 down, or it has for me and its just the demo!

Are you trying to say that 10, is not a drastic change from 09? I think 10 is a wonderful game as far as I can see. This year's Madden is 10 times better than 09 ever was.

People need to chill out. It's just a demo. It's not even using the final build of the game for cryin out loud!

Personally, I thought both demos were great and cannot wait to get the full game!

NCAA10 demo was horrible, but the full version of the game is giving NCAA04 or 05 (depends on who you talk to) a run for its money.

I do not put much stock into demos anymore.

wow another topic where people are pissing and moaning about animations and how 2K is god's gift to video game football. i wonder if these people actually have time to play 2K seeing how they are always on here complaining about madden. i'm pretty sure only about 8 people bought that damn game anyway and they all come here and post this crap in every thread.

See this is the problem. All of you folks keep comparing stuff to the previous year. Of course its better than last year but compared to real life and even 2k8 its not realistic. Running like robots to me isn't realistic. Madden 10 improved from 09 presentation and AI wise of course but gameplay wise its almost the same. And to say this is just a demo and not the final build...don't be fooled by EA. They are a monopoly they have tricked us for the past five years. Nothing will change. Its already a few weeks away. They are done with it. They say its an alpha build to make you think "oh its going to be way better in the final build" well you are pretty much playing the final build already. Maybe a few tweaks but thats it. The track record proves it. They already have a lot of folks on their hook already. They have NO competition therefore they don't have to do crap because people will buy it anyway. This is why Monopolies are never good. Competition is always good for the consumer. I just want a football simulation like they claim folks.

This is also why people don't listen to people like you, you don't give constructive criticism, you just give criticism. Either help the cause, or stay out of the way.

EA claims Madden is a "simulation" too. Well I would do what you said but EA took away competition. So thats a big problem. If you are going to take away a great football franchise you better make yours twice as good. Another typical quote I get all the time from the defenders of Madden.
