How will that increase game sales? I already explained that this is a flawed tactic.

Maybe by influencing the people on the fence who could be watching that game to go out and buy it. The people who were going to buy it still are regardless of it's release, so why not try and get some extra ones?

I am gonna explain this again, hopefully you understand it this time.

1. They don't owe you anything. Officallly Madden is available on 8/14 and has been for months, it's not like they just pushed it back.

2. Again it's available because stores are breaking the street date. All mediums that release things to the public like movies, games, and such have set street dates, this is not new to Madden. You knew this since you have become a gamer.

3. You may believe this is a flawed tatic, but EA's bussiness analysts (who I am sure have much more experience at this than you) don't agree.

4. Madden NFL Football is property of EA, if they decide they wanted to release it 3 weeks from now tomorrow that is their right.

They don't owe you anything, get over it.

Really, what would EA lose by waiting till Friday to drop the game? Even if the advertising during the preseason game doesn't help that much, it certainly isn't hurting sales in any way.
