Has EA ever had DLC for a Madden game?

I was holding out hope that like Live and Fifa they would update the AFL throwbacks with DLC. But it hit me that I can't remember a yr that Madden had DLC. I remember one yr they tried to charge for alternate unis.


Does anyone think they can update the throwbacks with DLC? Thats really all I need to be happy with the game

Well I know for a fact the Bills and Pats white AFL throwbacks aren't in the game. Steve(OS) confirmed the Bills and I saw the Pats jerseys on some video on youtube or somewhere. They have the Bills Blue and Pats red jerseys but no white ones. And the Bills are wearing their White AFL unis this weekend in the HOF game.

I'm pretty sure that Madden 06 or 07 had throw backs added as DLC.
Pretty sure it was sponsored so it was free to anyone.
This was on the 360 of course.

I think youre right. I seem to remember people being upset that the DLC didnt have any throwback unis for the Colts

theres dlc in madden 10... if any of u guys have ncaa 10 the dlc for madden is simaler to that... almost like addons no type of modes or nuthin. they are for franchise mode and superstar mode

If memory serves there were also a couple of additional stadiums available for DL (not free), I think they were the LA Coliseum and the Seattle Kingdome.

Of course, everyone bitched about "having to pay for something that should already be in the game". As a result few people bought them, and the experiment hasn't been repeated.

Probably not. The stadiums were for M07 I believe, I doubt they are still available.

Hopefully they can put in DLC involving alternate jerseys and some other things. If they did do this for M10, I wonder what would they bring to the game?

One of the stadiums was the NY Polo Grounds. I bought it because my grandfather played for the Giants there.

Right you are, M07 had the following stadiums available for DL:
