But it doesn't work. In the manual,there is a command for playmaker. I attempted to execute it in practice mode and it didn't work. It says to press and hold L2 and click R3 for playmaker. Has anyone tried this yet?

Well in the manual it says "press" the R3 button. If I interpretted that as pressing down on the trigger then I guess I must be the world's biggest idiot. If it said "move" the R3 button, I probably would not have made this mistake.Go Yankees

You aren't an idiot because you followed the directions that was written in the manual. I too threw the ball away when I held the L2 trigger down. By moving the right stick alone, the QB does that evasive move, to which I have yet to see in action either.
I thought playmaker wasn't in this year's game but when I saw it in the manual I was somewhat happy, but sad that I didn't execute it.Comment

Playmaker while being the QB was put in a few years ago and what it did was phenominal!! By using the right stick, you could control the closest receiver to you and make him go in any direction you flick the stick in... ie... while scrambling, you could make him run back towards you, or cut up field, or run parellell with you to help get a passing lane to get him the ball... I believe years ago you were able to designate any player to be the "Playmaker" guy, but nowdays, correct me if I am wrong anyone, it is the closest receiver to the QB that you control.....
However, with all of that said, I have not been able to get it to work this year no matter what the manual says... Great feature, gone the way of the madden do-do... but at least there are multi colored cleats.. /sarcasmComment

Oh ok, yea I remember that now. I thought that was a one and done deal? It came out in 2004 right? The Michael Vick cover year? The year before the hit stick? lol
