We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
It actually works great for me in NCAA 10, it's just inconsistent in madden. Yeah I played a game with the Vikings too and it said it was 48 degrees. I exited out and re-started a new game seconds later and it said it was 55. Weird.
I wish there was a way to just setup a game where I can completely control the weather, like selecting it to 30 degrees and overcast for example. I don't want to always be playing games at 75 and sunny into like November. C'mon EA seriously dude
now these are the kinds of things that bother me more than anything.. features that are put in the game but are seemingly there just for show, and non functioning, yet they are promoted as features on the back of the box.
if it happens once, and is fixed via patch, then cool no big deal..
but to happen for two years in a row (along with the challenge system), and to be totally ignored here by Ian, is just a slap in the face to us, IMO..
the overal quality and polish of this product is just so low, its not even funny..
its so very frustrating that I have to sit here and complain about things like this.
despite what many of you guys think, I really wish this product was polished, finished, and the features that are hyped and advertised just worked like they should, so I can be actually be enjoying the game on my couch right now instead of sitting here venting in this forum.
I always get 75 degrees despite the live weather being on. I'm trying hard to defend EA because I like this game soooooooooooooo much; however, the more I play I am seeing so many more "little things" that are wrong. I'm officially taking off my EA blinders. LOL!!!!
anyone seen any rain, snow or wind in offline franchise games yet?
Yes. If the Lions didn't play in a dome i'd have had 4 snow games in my last franchise, but i've had snow games when i played in Cincinnati in my franchise. Plus i played a few games in rain. Haven't had a game that was just plain windy yet though. I think its like a plain cloudy game in NCAA. Just doesn't happen.
What kind of idiotic idea is even trying to put live weather into a video game? Its the middle of August and you expect a game being played in "December" to be hot and humid? That would be live weather....

In Franchise, you don't play with Live Weather. Weather is determined by regular climate of the city you play in.
I could deal with the live weather feature being broken if selecting "random weather" actually gave me random weather. Whenever I select it to random I always get 70 degrees and clear, as opposed to 75 degrees and clear when I select "live weather."
If the random weather feature actually mixed it up and gave me different weather results, then the live weather being broken wouldn't matter to me.
Could some of you guys try selecting random weather, and posting what the weather results were? hopefully we can have some games that are like 40 degrees w/overcast skies or something. thanks.
