As I started the game up I immediately went online to get the rosters. I first noticed that the main menu interface is very simple and easy to navigate. Anyway I won't get too much into that cause afterall, how much does that add or subtract from a game?
I then went to the 'play now' mode and took the Vikings in a home game against the Packers.(I live in Green Bay, and while I have forgiven all in the Brett Favre saga, I still cannot wrap my mind around Ted Thompson, Mark Murphy, and Mike McCarthy sitting in a room deciding to tell Favre to go take a hike) Anyway My first drive was 17 plays with a heavy heavy dose of AP. I mean he is a beast, what can I say. I ran heavily to the left side behind Hutchinson which definitely displayed the Packers inability to defend the run. The other player I featured often in this drive was Percy Harvin.....Also a Stud. The Packers gave me a good amount of pressure while I was passing and even caused Favre to throw 2 ducks.(one tipped right after the throw, and the other was contact during the throw) Anyway, the drive ended in a 9 yard rushing TD by AP.
On defense, I held the Packers to 26 yards of total offense in the first half. Going into halftime, it was 14-0 Vikings.
The Packers got the ball in the 2nd half, and caught me on a zone blitz and tossed the rock to Jordy Nelson for a 54 yard TD pass.
Overall I think the game plays great. I did not have any problem on defense and I even played a little 3-4 with williams at NT and end and Jared Allen at the other end. I tortured the Packers mediocre line all game, and Ryan Grant probably wants to retire after that game. The game ended 28-13 with all-pro difficulty with 8 minute quarters and 15 second accelerated clock.
What quarter time and accelerated clock gives the most realistic stats while playing games? In last years game on all-madden I was consistently able to pass for 300-350+ and rush for 100+ yards will 7 minute quarters.
