Players have gone missing in franchise mode.

During my 2016 offseason, I came to the depth chart. I had a 98 QB at the time and was curious to see his career stats. What!?!? He hasn't been playing for 3 years!!!! Eventhough he's not been injured and is on the top of my depth chart, not a single game has he played. And guess what. Their was 2 other players on my team that this was affecting. A really good RT and my "starting" MLB. Each of those players have a similar story to my QB. Top of depth chart, no injuries. Yet won't play. During gameplay their respective backups play the whole game regardless of injury reports or depth charts. I can't even formation sub them into the game.

Now I know why my past few seasons have been crap. My 2 best players never played.

I went to "Roster Breakdown" in the Team management section of the franchise frontend. It listed my 3 lost players as inactive????

They're holding out then. Either re-sign them or trade them.

I tried re-signing them and they still don't play. I even tried to give the QB a big contract and still no luck.

I had the same issue. Resigned Cutler to a huge deal which he took and he still didn't play

bump. ive had the same problem in my franchise for my QB SS WRs and my CB. i need to know how to fix this because i just resigned them and they arent playing

I had this happen with Carson Palmer. The only way I could get it to work was to trade him to another team and then trade him back to my team. Pretty lame, I don't mind him being inactive I just want to know why he is.

for me, i had simmed a few seasons, built up a good team and decided to actually start playing the games. thing is that half my starting team wasn't even playing, so i had to use backup QB ect.
I don't see how no one knows how to fix this because it really bothers me

edit: thanks snoop for at least an odd way of fixing it. i have a feeling i might end up losing a few draft picks or players due to this though.
