Why do the Bears have such a low coaching rating?

Ever since getting this game, I've been perplexed everytime I look at the pregame match up screen while it is loading, and see that the Chicago Bears have only 1 out of 3 blocks in the coaching department.

I play the Vikings, and Childress is rated higher than Lovie Smith. I play the Packers, McCarthy is rated higher. And neither have been as successful or accomplished as much as Lovie Smith. Same with more coaches around the league that have higher ratings, but these are the two teams I play the most and which irritate me the most. It is literally laughable their coaches are rated higher, and I think their fans would even admit it.

Smith has won NFL Coach of the Year, taken a team to the Super Bowl/won the NFC Championship, and directed the Bears to the second most wins of any team in the NFC over the last 4 seasons. How the heck is he worth only a 1/3 on the rating system?!

My guess is that the coach rating is based not just on the head coach, but the coordinators as well. I got to the offseason in my franchise and noticed Ron Turner actually made my QBs ratings drop

The Bears have always got the shaft in video games. Even during 05-06 when the defense was flat out ELITE, they rated them low.

They're one of those teams that people love to ignore. I remember during 06 when they were the best team in the NFC, every ESPN blow hard kept ranking other teams higher. When they played the Saints for the NFC championship, everyone picked the Saints....then they preceded to wipe the floor with them.

It never ends. I can't wait until They're like 8-1 and Cutler is dominating. All you'll hear is how good the Eagles are, or the Giants or some other team.

The Saints game was truly magical. Everyone said we'd lose by 10 points, and we won by 25.

I fired Turner and hired Mike Martz and my coaching is 2 blocks now

Last night, I noticed that the Rams had all three bars filled. Anyone have any guesses why this is, especially since they have a rookie head coach and so-so corridnator's.

Maybe they weren't favored because their QB was REX GROSSMAN. Enough said.

Don't expect the Bears to jump out to 8-1 or Cutler to dominate. Remember, his best receiver is frekin Devin Hester. That's a big step down from Brandon Marshall. The Bears will be so-so this year (like last). The Packers will win the division.

Ron Turner is actually a pretty decent coordinator imho. We'll see how he does this year, that will be the litmus test. Based on the fact that we managed to lose 3 games last year which we were literally in our grasp, I have no problem with the coaching block being at 1. Where do we see how our players ratings get affected?
