In my 12th year of franchise mode I took the detroit lions undefeated in the regular season. The great thing about it is I simulated every game. Its not like I just played every game on easy mode and went undefeated. I dont know if someone has ever been able to take a crappy team like the lions and simulate every week and win every game. I mean this has got to be a record. Feel free to chime in and brag if you too took a horrible team and simulated them to an undefeated season. I was sweating every game that was simmed. I sim weekly so it was pretty nerve racking.

I did it a couple of years ago as the 49's. It was the Year Eli came out, I traded for him. He was a rookie but went up to a 99 in like 3 years. Both my starting WR's were 90's and to top that out, for some unkown reason the cards released boldin one year and fitz the next, so I had 4 Wr's over 90. Sick offense scored like 40 to 50 a game. Best team I ever had simmed every game for like 5 years to do it.Comment

Did you build them through the draft and free agency?
that is pretty cool man, I am still in my first year with the Dallas Cowboys I already have a franchise quarterback and good defense so it is not much of a challange, the thing I am looking forward to is trying to draft wisely and keeping the good veterans happy.

Yeah I dont think I cheated or anything. I dont even know what the cheats are. I made a few bad signings like sproles to a 6 year deal. Once he turns 30 hes done for. Overall I just couldnt miss as far as drafting prospects. I didn't draft too many busts. I had maybe 2 busts out of 10 first round picks. And I just kept reloading each year. Got like 13 guys rated 90 or higher. Usually I am -20 million in cap room then all i do is trade a couple of my highest players for 30 million. Then I have around 10-15 million left for free agency and the draft. I usually sign anyone in free agency cause all the good ones cost too much.
I just try to draft well. A lot of 4.3 guys I love to draft or real strong guys. Elite physical tools dont hurt in the nfl thats for sure.Comment

In my 6th year, I got the Lions to go 15-1, would of most likely gone 16-0 and if we didn't have to goto Foxboro and play the Patriots because their team looks nasty, this is what they've managed to pickup in free agency.

Their defense isn't anything out of the ordinary but if you thought their offense was good now, then this one is taking the biscuit. They still have Matt Light and Nick Kaczur backing up the offensive line. Even though I've done everything possible to improve Detroit's defense, there was noway of stopping this kind of offense and it stopped me from getting the perfect season.
Now I'm most likely going to see them in the Superbowl and get beat there, I was lucky the previous year because the Titans somehow beat them but now they've added Roos to the offensive line, they are nearly unstoppable when they have the ball.Comment

How great is this. In the superbowl I am down 17-14. I got the ball at the 30 yard line with about 90 seconds left. I see my wideout going for the end zone and a safety isnt in the right position. I hold down lb or whatever it was. I want him to gun it and he throws it right to the safety. How messed up is this. Why is it that you cant throw the ball hard without the qb throwing it way off. The safety was in horrible position. I just cant understand this. He throws it right to the safety who was 5 yards to the left of the wideout. The throw wasn't even close and stafford has 90 dac or whatever.Ty Ea you ruined my lifeComment

You guys with these great turnarounds, starting with the OP, are you using the Madden draft classes or the NCAA classes?
Guy who went 15-1 and lost to the Pats, man that is some freaking All-pro offense by the Pats. How do they keep everyone happy with one ball much less fit them all under the cap? Greatest offense of all time no doubt.----------

its nice to see though that 6 yrs later and the pats have come continuity in players since they have most of what they have now and have added a few good players to it. Ive seen crazy **** in 1 yr of my chise. Favre got cut by Viks in season and i used the unretire thing so he could stay another year then traded for him as my bu qb and they didnt want much for him (5th or 6th round pick i think). Then i tried to trade him to anyone just to see what it would bring me and it was damn near impossible. No one wanted him! Wonder if it has something to do with him supposed to being retired and i brought him back or cuz his potential is F!Comment
