Thought this would be an interesting thread.

Pick one thing that, for you, would totally transform Madden.

Me? It's the player lock cam from NCAA, which gives you the ability to play defense from the "opposite" side of the ball.

Way more realistic, IMHO.. and in NCAA, way, way tougher. Much harder to pick up what the offense is doing (play action vs. handoff; fake end around vs. real) and react without getting blocked out of the play. Like real football, no? If they added that to Madden, I'd be pretty darned content.

So what's your X factor with Madden?

if I could run the ball with any consistancy.

If I could get any pressure and get sacks out of the 3-4 defense (steelers) instead of just giving up big plays as the QB has all day to find an open man every time i blitz


The more I play the less fun I'm having with the game, mainly because of not being able to run.

Too many games where I get 22 rushes for 14 yards and nothing over like 5 yards.

The only thing holding me back is sim stats, I can deal with everything else via sliders and such.

For me it's the slow speed online. I was averaging about 2-3 games per day before they made the switch to slow. Now, I'm about to trade it in. There's other issues with the game, but this is my biggest gripe. The game is unplayable for me at slow speed.

...my men blocked better and went for sideline catches.


I'd play a lot more Madden in general if I had an Auto-Replay after EVERY play and progressive lighting.

I had a PS3. Got the SI "free" game, but don't have a console. Prob. not what the OP was looking for but just wanted to be a part of the discussion. LOL.

OL blocking, lame ducks, defensive CPU AI (like constantly blitzing corners), bad pursuit angles, numerous glitches, terrible sim stats and bland franchise mode keep me from really playing it.

... I could sack the CPU out of the 3-4 (Cowboys). I'm waiting to start my franchise until I get word either way about a patch.

Oh, and if they added that Fantasy League mode they had on PS2 back in '08 (Not sure if they still have it, but they may. '08 was just the last year I played it on PS2.) I had a lot of fun with that mode.

It had all of the good/great features the last-gen versions had (including vision-cone) and for disputed features (a la vision-cone) had plenty of customization for them.

...and had more HC09 qualities to franchise mode. =]

I was 10 years younger...therefore putting me back in high school w/o much responsibility and giving me more time to play w/o complaining....
