My first career ender!

Just had my first career ending injury while playing my franchise. I'm playing as Tampa Bay I gave the start to Josh Freeman over that joke who they call Leftwich. I'm only in week 2 of the chise playing Buffalo, which mind you is only Freeman's second game of his career.

I get sacked by Marcus Stroud and Freeman is down for the count. Few plays later I check the medical center, and it's (broken vertebrae - Career Ending). That's the first time I've ever been playing a game and gotten my player a career ending injury. Sucks it was only Freemans second game of his career and that screws me up for this season, but that was too awesome. Anyone else gotten any career injuries?

Ouch. never had anything like this... especially harsh since he's a 1st rd rookie.

Infact, I've not had an injury that lasts more than 3 weeks yet.

Nope not yet, I get a bunch of little injuries but nothing long-term. I've given someone a season ender though. but never career, nor have I gotten a career-ender

Infact, I've not had an injury that lasts more than 3 weeks yet.

Guess I gotta look at the bright side, his contract wasn't too big yet but it'll save me a little hardship on cap space for him in the long run.

I started a franchise with the Titans and my pro bowl CB Courtland Finnegan had a season ending injury in preseason. Now I know why the players hate preseason so much! LOL

I was just going to say that same thing. I've simulated many seasons on Madden 10 and have seen career ending injuries for players on other teams but i have never had one happen to a player on my team.....yet.

Hey-wood Bay....first game of the year, Jammer twisted him up. Broken Leg. Done for the year. 2 catches for 26 yards. Only can happen to the Raiders!

Year 2 of my franchise playing the Patriots in the superbowl I blitzed my OLB and hit sticked the hell out of brady. His career got ended right there, it was funny as hell. The backup QB they had sucked too, so that was a pretty easy superbowl win.

I was just going to say that same thing. I've simulated many seasons on Madden 10 and have seen career ending injuries for players on other teams but i have never had one happen to a player on my team.....yet.

Yeah I had seen them here and there when I simulate games, but this was the first time it has ever happened when I was controlling the player.

It was kind of bitter sweet because the other injuries I've gotten while playing usually don't last past that game.

thats the only season ender ive seen so far is broken vertabrae. i wonder if they have any other injuries thatll end careers?!?

I think EA just hates Josh Freeman???

I don't play as the Bucs, but he had a career ending crushed vertebrae in my franchise also. Poor kid.
