Does size matter?
I am trying to get an understanding of if size matters in this game. I mean for both simmed games in franchise mode and gameplay. Like if i create a team with all 99s but they are all 5'5 and 160 pounds. Will they go undefeated in franchise mode if i sim it? how about if i create giants? How does size effect simmed stats and gameplay? Need help thanksTags: None -

Re: Does size matter?
You had to expect some humorous replies to that title!
Joking aside, my guess is that "size" has absolutely NO effect on gameplay. I wish it did but I have not seen any evidence of it. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a more definitive answer?Comment

Re: Does size matter?
Can they code it to where it does matter? Or we dont have the technology to do so.Comment

That was the pilgrims? Columbus didn't even discover North America proper but the Caribbean if I am not mistaken.
Small Pox blankets for all!
Back on topic, no. As said before, when a punter can block a 300+lb lineman consistently we see that it does not.

Re: Does size matter?
That's a nice attention title for a thread.
If you play the games size doesn't matter on the offensive and defensive lines. Neither do ratings. The OLINE/DLINE interaction in EA football games are flat out garbage. You can have an entire unit 5'8" 150 pound offensive linemen and watch them block a unit of all 99 rated 300+ pound defensive linemen all day, and on Heisman level as well. It won't matter whether the the small guys are on your team or the cpu team either. And the inverse is true where if you have diminutive dlinemen with puny ratings they'll be just as effective against monster offensive beasts as the 99-rated dline. Trust me, I've tested the exact scenarios I spelled out above.
Now size may matter for the other positions but I don't know. I would suspect that height helps out in the red zone for WR and TE. I don't know about weight though.----------
