No way to assign double teams?

Yet another feature from the ps2/xbox era that seems to have mysteriously disappeared. But before I stick my foot in my mouth, is there any way to manually assign a defender to double team a receiver?

Like back on the ps2 I think you pushed triangle, the receivers icon and then right on the dpad (or something like that) I dont see any such option on the 360.

It's doable but it takes so long. You have to icon the defender and manually man him up with the receiver. So annoying. You can't get it before the snap.

Isn't that what spotlighting a receiver is for?

You push A, the receivers button, then left on the stick, but with accel. clock you'll never have time to make it work. Also, spotlighting dont work either.

Well it does eventually, if you keep highlighting a WR, eventually there will be 2 men on him. Agreed it is broken though

not true! defensive hotrouting does not take very long at all! Highlight the defender and assign him to cover the target WR's button. thats it. quick and easy and you can probably complete it even before everyone finishes lining up.
