Re: Create-A-Team Names

Those are some good ideas. I think I'm going to move ahead with the idea of creating 32 new teams. I'm bored with the same NFL teams. Even in the college games I get tired of the same teams all the time, even though there are a lot more to choose from.

I think APF 2k8 spoiled me with being able to create my own teams.

Re: Create-A-Team Names

ok so the only poblem i have run in to is this:

i released all players over a 75 into the FA pool, then incorporated the 32 fictional teams into the franchise, then set up a fantasy draft in the game.... only problem is that when i advance to the draft screen, the game freezes. anyone wanna try this out n see what i mean?

I messed around with it for a couple hours last night. It does appear that you can add multiple CATs to a franchise. You can also assign real players to these teams (as well as legends if you like), but it's a slow, painful process.

I'm tempted to start an all-fictional franchise league, but there aren't enough logos to choose from. I counted 40, but it's really 20 since there are 2 versions of each team (2 crocs, 2 baboons, etc..). For those that have created 32 teams, how did you handle this?
I just used the "alternate" logos as seperate logos, in which case you actually have 40 to choose from for your 32 teams. A lot of the alternates look very little like the main logo, so It's not really a problem to use them for a different team. The list I posted shows which of the 40 logos I used and what names I came up with for each. As for colour schemes I have those too, but I don't have it in a form that'd be easy to show anyone.

Re: Create-A-Team Names

I just got done making 32 new teams. I made one team air it out, one team run the ball, one team defensive and two balanced teams, the rest were cupcake.

I plan on having a fantasy draft and manually controlling the first one or two rounds, then simming two entire seasons after setting up the coaching sliders.

I tried it with all cupcake rosters and made a few draft picks for myself, but ended up having 9 players in the top 3 of their positions after one draft. So that's why I've decided to let the cpu draft.

I will see if their are top QB's in later rounds and make teams that need them do break the bank trades to aquire them. My thought is that this is a brand new league and teams are trying to get good players to dominate early on.

Hmm, interesting. Didn't know that it was possible until now. Always wanted to do a 32 fantasy team franchise. I'm definitely going to hop to this. The "New York Tigers" shall reign again
