On videogame paper, it matches up ratings wise, but in real life, the Texans would never trade away their future for almost over the hill Portis and inconsistent campbell.

Never happen in real life.

Shaub is already better than Campbell.
Slaton is a young HB with lots of potential (based of last seasons performance)
Cushing is a 1st round pick from this years draft.

Campbell is inconsistent and at best average.
Portis is close to hitting the HB wall, if he hasn't already.

Why would the Texans swap RB and QB with the 'Skins? Teams make trades to fill needs. Not swap players at the same position. It reminds me of people back in the Sega Genesis days that would trade Troy Aikman for Steve Young. Makes no sense. Plus, why would the Texans want Campbell?

Why would the Texans swap RB and QB with the 'Skins? Teams make trades to fill needs. Not swap players at the same position. It reminds me of people back in the Sega Genesis days that would trade Troy Aikman for Steve Young. Makes no sense. Plus, why would the Texans want Campbell?

They wouldn't. That's why the trade logic in this game is so pathetic. We the user shouldn't have to resort to 'House Rules' when trading with the cpu. It's just like the Patriots swindeling old man Al Davis!! lol If the person on the opposite side of the trade is stupid enough to accept the trade then I'm gonna make it happen!

I never would have thought the AI would do that. Granted, I don't know what their ratings are.

The AI wants me to bend over every time I ask for Cushing - so you getting him AND Schaub AND Slaton? Wow.

This shows how terrible the trade AI in this game is, they need to fix it to make the franchise a realistic experience.

In my Bears franchised, I control all 32 teams, I traded the first pick from the Bucs to the Redskins for their first and second rounder.

I then drafted Tebow for the Redskins. Let's see how it works out..

I love the trade for the texans.. you get a decent backup in campbell (obviously you give sexy rexy another shot as a starter) AND get a good pass blocking 3rd down back in portis to spell superstar chris brown every once in awhile.
