    All-Madden, should be All-Maddening

My gun WR has, 99 catching, 92 CIT and 96 SPC. He has dropped 17 passes in just over 10 games. These aren't because of big hits when he catches them, the most common drop is a player 3 yards behind him trying to keep up, the ball hits him in stride and deflects away... EAs way of making All-Madden difficulty. Instead of having to game plan better or protect the ball more you just have to cross your fingers.

98 Overall DT. He has 99 power move, 90 block shedding, 87 play rec, 86 tackling. On pass plays 50% of the time to get around a blocker he just slides down his front onto his belly. Instead of the offense adding extra protection or double teaming him EA just made my player clumsy.

The rare times I get a decent hit on the QB and there is an errant pass lobbed high and a CB or Safety casually step towards the falling ball it just bounces harmlessly off their hands.

I end up very frustrated by the end of any game as the results get dictated by players incompetence (top flight players), as a computer game as the difficulty goes up I should be having to make better decisions. I can't play this game on All-Pro any more because its just not a challenge, but after a game or 2 of All-Madden I need to put the game away for at least a week. I want a game that makes the AI smarter, not just my players much worse.

Most agree that custom sliders are the way to enjoy Madden. I like it somewhere btwn all-pro and all-madden.

These got some overall good reviews.

      Thanks,
I played madden 09 with customs sliders and it was better. But I like to be able to compare stats/seasons etc with friends. And to have to fiddle with sliders to make it playable seems a bit wrong. It seems there is no other choice though...

This is why I play online exclusively. Yes, you will deal with cheesers, but in my opinion, its way better comp then playing against the cpu. You should try online if you haven't already. You still will deal with faulty ai and cheating, but it will be differnt ai problems you encounter and human cheating as opposed to the computer cheating. I guess its a pick your poison type thing. It seems when it comes to madden that people play one way or the other; online or offline. They are so different in experience that you can that you can enjoy one and hate the other.

yea all madden is ridiculous. it just dumbs down your players while making the opposing team a team full of super humans. and somehow someway...they are able to put this on shelves and we pay for it...damn this monopoly!!!!! lol

            Re: All-Madden, should be All-Maddening

When I first get madden I start up a franchise in rookie and play the preseason on that difficulty, to get to know the playbook and any controller changes. Then I play the first season in pro. If I win the superbowl I up it to all-pro. Then after a couple of seasons of that I play all-madden. So by the time I play all-madden I have a pretty decent team put together. But now I have officially put the game away.

I tried tweaking sliders. I put up the catching and dropped the pass accuracy from 25 to 20. but all my passes where going everywhere! It was stupid.

Unfortunately playing offline isn't that much of an option. I have a decent internet speed, it won't cope with online play. Most of the time my connection drops out on my wireless network.

It would have been nice for the devs to have checked out the best sliders put out there and reset the rookie, pro, all-pro and all-madden difficulties based on them in the latest patch. I feel like I'm cheating by tweaking them...

Why is it that All-Madden in online franchise is so freaking easy?
              13-Time World Champions: 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1996, 2010

I completely concurr with this problem. I'm trying these sliders now too and if these don't work out, then it looks like im done with another disappointing season of madden =\

It is. In our online Franchise we never lost to CPU. And it was on All-Madden
