the case of the missing tight end

sooooooo..... sometimes after half time, in the third quarter, my starting tight end just completely disappears from the game... I dont know whats going on... he's not injured or anything... maybe he's in the locker room gettin it on with a cheerleader... i dont know... but he's not in the game. This happens almost everytime i play... Does this happen with anyone else (360) and is there a way to fix this or stop it from happening.

My money is on the cheerleader scenario. Seriously though my guess is he is too tired to come back. What is his stamina? What fatigue settings do you have? How much did you use him in the 1st half? I have had this happen with HBs before when I just run nonstop in the first half. It really sucks since my backup is left to close out the game. Hope this helps.

I see the same thing. I play a lot as the Falcons and Tony Gonzalez is the best player on the field and I go stretches where he is not on the field but not tired and not hurt. Maybe the game thinks he is too old to be out there much, but if that is true then the game is wrong.

Why can't you just manually sub him in using the player sub screen?

If the player is not in that list, he's too tired to play. You can modify your sub in/out ratio and I think this may help.

is there anywhere to check what a players fatigue level is at? I remember in the old madden's you could see a % of stamina they are at in the formation sub screen.

Nah, at least I don't think there is. That's one thing that I think they missed. I think you can only check by the colors at the play selection screen. And if they are too tired and coming out (more than red) then you wouldn't even see them in the huddle or selectable.

Understandable, but for setting sub in/sub out numbers, how does one know what numbers to put if we dont know what numbers our players are at. I think I read somewhere that over the course of a game, players dont gethigher than 88%, is this true? If this was the case, if you set your sub in number to anything above 88, that player would not come back in, because he'll never reach that number.

I have had the same thing happen since the last update....Visanthe Shiancoe is only in about 1/3 of the time, and the fatigue settings for him should be out at 60 in at 70

I have fatigue at 60, not sure what my sub in/sub out settings are. My rookie TE gets about 8 receptions/game and rarely comes out. I can post my settings later if it will help.
