Re: Progressive lighting?

shame that a baseball game and the college version can include this but the big boy madden lacks. agree with previous posts that it makes game seem like alive and happening in real time. daylight all game no shadows is stale. come on madden get it right.

I'm still going to hold hope that this will somehow get changed later on before Madden '11 releases... now while I want progressive lighting, I would be perfectly fine with just having the lighting change each quarter. I don't get why this is so hard to do.

"We have made great improvements to the way the lighting looks, making it look more realistic than ever before but the lighting won't change during the course of a game."

What's the point in even spending time making the lighting better if you aren't going to have it change through out the course of the game? I don't get it.

"Yeah we've implemented a new lighting system for Madden '11". Again, if the lighting doesn't change, what's the point? The way the lighting looks might as well be the same as how it was last year.

Re: Progressive lighting?

We won't get a system where it changes while you playing, (you can actually see the sun going down in the background and you starting a quarter in light and it's dark by the end for example) but we should be able to at least have it get progressively darker by quarter...

Re: Progressive lighting?

Terrible if this is the case. A little thing that adds so much to the game, not sure why it is ignored.

Re: Progressive lighting?

I wouldn't expect it at all. Hell noon games at Soldier Field last year were played in long shadows every game. Sucked doing Bears franchise. They had it years ago and it was awesome. Remember the dynamic weather they used to have? It would rain then stop during a game.

Shame they've taken a step back when it comes to weather in general.

Via Twitter

@BigGamer09 Any hopes of getting lighting changes throughout the course of a game via patch? A little bit bummed that it won't be in

@ian_cummings nope, sorry, not this year. Much bigger fish to fry with gameplay and such

Re: Progressive lighting?

I thought the gameplay and art team were two different teams, working on two different things?
