That said, this tweet specifically brought NCAA Football 11 to my mind.Unless Im mistaken,I think that EA football title will have progressive lighting this year.It also seems to be adding most,if not all,of the new gameplay features being added to Madden 11.If all this is true, why would the reason for Madden not having progressive lighting this year be to focus more on gameplay and stuff?
Also, with NCAA Football, there seems to be focused attention on Dynasty mode in that game.I didnt specifically mention online or offline because in NCAA Football,to its' credit, there is no destinction needed. They are equal modes with equal features and focus. In Madden I can understand the dynamics of a salary cap and team finances being difficult to translate to online servers. However, that doesnt explain why franchise mode as a whole doesnt recieve the focused attention of being a mode as equally important for NFL football gamers as Dynasty is for collegiate football gamers.
I focused on EAs other football title mainly because that's Maddens' only licensed football rival right now. However, even when looking at EAs' NBA Live, now NBA Elite,Madden still comes up "lacking" in comparision. In NBA Live, they added Dynamic DNA which focused on individual player/team stats and tedencies for more NBA authenticity. Also player differential, crowd intensity and Dynamic Season were put in that game.Arent authentic player stats, tendencies and upgrades just as important to NFL football gamers? Why do Madden gamers have to wait weeks or longer for roster updates? The crowd in NFL football is considered the 12th man for every home team.A NBA crowd has never recieved a symbolic 6th man award in basketball but NBA Live still foucused on it.
I could go on and on about what other EA Sports games have done to focus on target areas for sport gamers that next-gen Madden hasnt.I just dont understand how Madden can lack year after year on fundamental areas that all sports fan love about their sports.Stats, crowds, officials calling penalties, player individuality, social networking with fellow fans/rivals,team off-season expectations and moves are what make people passionate about sports and sports games.
Why do so many other EA Sports games at least make those areas their focus while next-gen Madden,EAs' most storied title, seems to continuely go "lacking" in comparison?
