Still undecided about buying M11

I hear a lot of people complaining about the lack of features\improvements to the game but that actually doesn't bother me. To be honest, as long as Madden 11 is a slightly tweaked and improved game over Madden 10 I would be happy with that since I liked Madden 10. I don't care that much about new features, I am only interested in a football game that plays well on the field.

I think a big part as to why I am undecided at this point is because NCAA Football 11 really looks good this year and I will probably be buying it. With that said, I just don't know if I have enough time to play them both on a regular basis. On top of that, I don't know how different they will be and will it be difficult switching back and forth between the two if they play completely different from each other.

I will say that the trade in offer gamestop is having on Madden 11 sure is making it hard for me not to buy. I can trade in two games that I don't even play any more and aren't worth that much on trade in, and get $40 off of Madden 11. With tax that means Madden will only cost me a mere $23 which almost seems too good to pass up.

they give you nothing and sell your games for almost full value.

but i think i would do the deal madden for 23 bucks just remember the game is worth squat if you want to trade it on once you activate the downloads wich i am 100 percent sure there will be some kind of weird update at release that people will go omg i got to update then that makes the game yours with absolutle no resale value.

I was going to trade in Little Big Planet GOTY and God of War 3 to get the $40 off of Madden. To be honest, without this deal I wouldn't get anywhere close to $40 trade in for those two games just trading them in normally. I'm done with those games anyway and all they are doing is collecting dust, I have no desire to play them any more.

I realize with the new activation code thing it will be almost worthless if I ever wanted to trade it in. However, if I do in fact do this trade in deal therefore Madden 11 would only cost me $23 in cash, it wouldn't be a big deal to keep it forever at that price.

Screw Gamestop, they will never get my games. I use craigslist and get double what Gamestop would give me.

Regardless of gamestop, craigslist or wherever that's the small part as far as I am concerned. The big thing for me is do I have enough tiime to get the most out of both NCAA and Madden if I buy them both, and will switching back and forth between the two give me problems if they are too different from each other as far as controls, gameplay, etc.

I guess I am trying to decide if I really need two football games. Probably not, but I am a huge football fan.

Back on topic.Stick with NCAA and wait to find out what people here say about Madden.You can always wat till the end of the year and buy it used.

NEVER use gamestop to trade in games -- they totally rape gamers (even worse than EA & Activision do).

Simply use Craigslist or Ebay.

Also, try taking advantage of blockbuster before purchasing a game brand new / retail. I've saved hundreds of dollars over the years renting games first playing a season/online games, getting tired of the game, and being able to simply return it.

I can't afford both Madden and NCAA at $120+.

So far, I'm gonna be an NCAA newcomer. Madden looks okay from the vids I've seen so far, but really not much different than M10.

Some may argue that point, but it's my opinion.

I think its tied to your gamertag/ea account id so if you use the same gamertag on both systems then you should be fine. not 100% sure though...

lol I had to comment on this. Gamestop is the Anti-Christ of stores because they take games you never play and give you money for them? In most cases, the games that are being traded in are out dated anyway, and no one is going to buy them anyway.

I will say that if you trade in a fairly new game you won't get as much as you should for it, but isn't that how stores make their profit? Buy low and sell high?

Part of the reason I bought a ps3 was for the God of War series. I loved 1 and 2 as well as Chains of Olympus (PSP) but I really didn't like GoW3 to be honest. The ending was absolutely incredible, but overall the game was more annoying and frustrating than fun. The fighting parts were great but there were so many friggin puzzles and such that it ruined the game for me and I have no desire to ever play it again.

So, since I could use that as one of the games in the trade in deal for Madden, I have no problem doing so.

Obviously most of us haven't played Madden 11 yet, but I wonder about the differences in game speed between M11 and NCAA 11. In theory, I assume the game speed should be exactly the same if I am playing both on Normal speed, correct?

I feel the same as you, NCAA but no madden!!! NCAA looks to be the better product and I have Madden tuned to play a very realistic game of football!!! Sure the commentary gets old and a few other things arent perfect but I can live with that. I dont feel the need to upgrade to get new ads like Doritos or the swagger thing. I have no problems with the lighting or the new uniforms it may have. If the reviews from gamers blow me away I'll grab it, but if I can get an updated franchise or roster for madden 10 then I'll be sticking with 10.
