Someone tell me...is the hit stick in the game? I can't get a good hit in the Demo. I love those screen shaking hits that make fumbles. Did they drop that? Say it ain't so...Let me know guys.

Probably should be in the impressions Q&A but it is there, just not as frequent as in years past. A little tougher to pull of which I like

I'm able to get those hits all the time on kickoffs in the demo, I guess it's a timing thing.

Hit sticking in Madden 10 was horrible! You could be hit sticking in any direction 5 feet away from a guy and just warp the guy into your player and cause a fumble. I am so glad they fixed it. You can still hit stick you just have to time it right now.

LOL! This was one of the first things I noticed too in the demo. I personally like it and think the M10 hit stick was way too sensitive.

its still there, not as BIG as it was which i'm very happy about because before every time i played someone they'd use the BIG hit and BOOM my guy'd fumble so thank you EA for toning it down

In my 4th game last night of Madden 11 I finally pulled off a HUGE hit stick hit. It was on a kick return and the guy was running straight up the field, didn't even see my guy coming in like a missile. I went BAM! and hit him like a Mack truck. The screen shook too. He didn't fumble though, which was kind of disappointing.

But as Flightwhite said, it's there, just much harder to get it to work, as it should be. You don't see those sorts of hits all the time in the NFL, nor should you see them constantly in Madden. Kudos to EA for finally getting this right!!!

I would like the Hit Stick to go away honestly. Let the ratings and player momentum decide if its a big hit, not the RS.

I can't wait to see some of these hits...hopefully the fumble/injury percentage will be increased after a monster hit. Having a player take one of these hits an end up getting hauled off on a golf cart would be ultra realistic IMO.

I disagree with that, I think it offers the player a tangible risk/reward scenario, just like players have a choice in the real NFL: Go for the big, ESPN-type, hit here and maybe end up on SportsCenter or simply wrap and tackle...

I think removing the hit stick removes more from the player control and puts it more in the ratings. I understand where you are coming from in regards to making it more realistic in letting ratings determine it, but sometimes in these games I think the need for user control and fun outweighs the need for adding a very slight increase in realism.

In M10 I noticed the hit stick only works in certain views. Maybe the hit stick doesn't work in the view that the Demo uses?

Its harder to pull off this year like in NCAA, but once you get used to it you can do it every tackle just like last year. In NCAA I find myself hit sticking almost every play, but it works, but I still try and stop doing it because it feels cheap as it forces a lot of fumbles.
