Wr's not attempting to catch balls?

In just one game I had 4 instances where the ball seemed catchable but the Wr did nothing to even try to attempt... Looks like I'll be having to take over the Wr more this year but an animation would be nice to reach out and attempt or even a dive. But some of these were like 3 feet away on low velocity balls and nothing. Anyone else notice this?

Good, the computer shouldn't catch the ball for you.
