Choosing a team

I've been cycling through the teams I can choose, trying to figure out what I want. Do I want a down on their luck team and try to rebuild and bring a championship? Or do i want to take a team with a good base and give them the last few pieces they need? One thing is for sure, I'm not picking the Vikings (Their cap room is only 3.5 million)

So how do you pick your team in franchise?

I always use my favorite team, the Redskins. Then I usually start with someone like the Bucs who need to rebuild a lot.

This year will be fun with how much the Skins have improved. Only real weakness year one is the line, after that its age, but I can easily fix both those through drafts.

I always go with my team as well. Honestly wish I had time to do a second one because it's hard to win with the Lions.

Would love to run the Bears, if only to trade Cutler and make Dan LeFevour into a star.

well mostly it's easy as we all have "our team", the Jets being mine so most of the franchises I think of doing end up being them

this year however I'm going to diverge a bit and actually go with the Broncos

my chise will be "The Tim Tebow Experiment".. I just want to see whether or not I can win a 'bowl with him.. timeframe: 4 years (after simming the 1st year of coursE)

I kinda get in the same situation as you every year....i can't seem to figure out what team i wanna play with.....I have a Favorite team 2 but i never play with them....kinda weird i know, but i have alot of players that i like 2....I hope to start tonight sometime...

Exactly my dilemma as well. Don't play with my favorite team, but I don't stick with any other teams I play as.

It really sux 2...i miss out on playing franchise mode cause i can never choose a team lol.

ur supposed 2 pick ur team that is closest 2 u because u get 2 watch all their games on tv and then play wit them in the game and u will recognize all their players

honestly speaking choosing a team is easy, choose your favorite team

the reason we all do it but then don't follow through on the franchise is simple..

it destroys "suspension of disbelief".. when your 'chise for example is the Jets and Mark Sanchez is lighting it up throwing 500yds a game..

and then you love that team irl and follow it and they're on a 2 game losing streak and Mark is stinking up the place

it makes it hard to pick up Madden and destroy opponents knowing how far it is from the truth

at least, I think that's the reason why.. I myself have never played my teams' franchise and I think that's the reason why I could never finish them.. it's just not real

I'm currently trying to help the Buccaneers. They are 2-1 as of now.

Vs. Browns: 31-17 W
@ Panthers: 25-24 L
Vs. Steelers: 34-24 W

This is a great point! Which is usually why I only play as the Steelers until the regular season starts. My suggestion is to do a fantasy draft. You get your "own" madden team, so it feels unique and like your own. Instead of doing what everyone else is doing, it actually feels like you're apart of the team, since after all you're the one who put the roster together.
