Money Plays! 360 or PS3
Alright so as it has been for years money plays are huge in madden but IMO they have an even bigger impact this year. I just would like to start a thread and get some money plays that people use becaus i know ppl like to have their secret plays but you can give up a few plays that people could use. If you are going to post a play please put the playbook, formation, play name, and any edits you do to it....If you would just like to discuss your feeling on money plays please do so..Tags: None -
Re: Money Plays! 360 or PS3
What exactly would you define as a money play? For example, you could consider a halfback toss play I run as a "money play", but it is easy to recognize and I often run for no gain or a loss when I run it. However, large gains are somewhat frequent. Is that a money play?Comment

money plays are money over 90% of the time. and not only that, they are money against 95% of the defenses called against it and it is usually the most redic and absurd defense that works against it. and once you figure this defense out, a simple hot route or flip of the play makes it money once again.Comment

Bigdeezy - I think you need to ask your question again, but use your wording that you used in post #6.
He's not looking for the cheapo play that you can just run over and over again. He's saying
"what are some plays that will get you a consistent 4 or 5 yards or more for passing plays....what are good plays to go to in the tough situation"
I think it's a fair/decent question. If I was good enough to have a play like that, I'd definitely share it.Comment

Half back screen plays. Any of them out of the shotgun are money. These are plays that the computer almost never has a call to stop them with and often times online you have to user stop them with a defensive end who manually covers the HB.
Most any power O run when you go into "by play type" and choose inside runs. the power run is so nice because it is off guard right up the gut. You can take it outside if the edge blocking holds up or you can look for a cutback lane left by the pulling guard. there are a lot of ways to run these plays [pun intended] and they really just rely on good blocking and good vision by the user.
Offense is over powerd so far this year. If you aren't scoring, you're doing something wrong.Comment

If You have a mobile QB(McNab, Rodgers, Young, etc) i do two hard runs up the middle, and then a PA boot with your FB and TE's doing drags towards the way you boot, just dump it to the fullback works like a charm.Comment

Re: Money Plays! 360 or PS3
HB Wheel out of Flip Trips formation in Cardinals playbook is nearly unstoppable, the only way to stop it is if some one blitz a corner from the outside but doesnt sacrifice zones over the middle
the reads go:
HB (L1) on wheel route will be open almost every time, unless the user covers it, most zone coverages it will be open, when cover 2 is called sometimes the running back will get chucked but if you have time to wait for him he will get open (which is where an outside blitz comes in to stop it)
WR on drag (Triangle) this will be open against Man coverage or if there is a blitz and the middle is left open
if they are blitzing your best read is probably a quick pass to the wheel route but you have to read it right because if they are in cover 2 and getting pressure then you could get picked off and it will be a touchdown if you doComment

Re: Money Plays! 360 or PS3
I Form Close, HB Off-tackle. That play works better then toss plays do for me most of the time. I had a ton of fun with Jelani Okoye last year using that play. That is argueably the best formation to run out of in the game. Tosses to the strong side in that formation, beats tosses in just about any other formation. However, it can be stopped if the defense loads up the box, or comes with a strong side blitz. If they come weak side blitz it's basically over, for the defense that is. Saying that, if you have a fast HB and get by the 1st line of defense you're usually gone. I've used it in the NO, and WAS playbooks.
The Gun 4 WR Tight, Bench Switch is also a good play for me. If the two out routes are covered you can look to one of the two WR's running the corner, someone is bound to be wide open, you just have to go through your reads. The play is good on 3rd and medium. If you hit one of the outs it's usually good for 10-12 yards, you hit the corner it's good for 20+.Last edited by GreenReign86; 08-17-2010, 10:45 AM.Comment
