Hey Guys,

I just wanted to take a moment to have everyone take a look at a daily Madden Show I have been doing. Its called Mad Den TV! I go over player vs player breakdowns, mailbag questions, tips, community news, as well as my favorite USER CUT & CPU. Check it out and please leave feedback of what you think. I like the show and I dig the site overall. When is this week in madden coming back? Also, I think you guys should get with "The Madden Voice" for some crossover content.

this is great stuff man. I run an 32 team OF and we do podcasts but no video. We also never refer to "ratings" but instead say "this guy is fast", but I'm guessing your show is more related to the game then a franchise per se. Keep up the great work!

Okay, I have seen a few of these so far, and they aren't bad, but they don't really appeal to me. I get the impression this is more for the tourny baller than the "average" OS user. Maybe as this show starts to understand what it wants to be, it'll get better, but right now it is very raw. I'm going to keep watching seeing where this goes.

If I may suggest, you may wish to do a segment, or dare I say break the show in two. One part for the sim players and the other part for the tourny baller.

For example, in your "cut, CPU or user" what are you talking about? What context? I don't really learn anything here. Might I suggest you make these comparisons matter by giving them some context. Say, in fantasy draft franchise you should go with Calvin Johnson over Randy Moss because Moss is old, but in a fantasy draft league, Moss is still "the man" seeing how you won't be playing multiple seasons.

I could go on, and this show has a lot of potential, but it really needs focus and direction.

It is a live web show that we do Thursdays (starting back up next week). Maybe this would be more to your liking? If you find something wrong or that doesnt appeal to that please let me know. Always trying to improve on all the work im doing.

In regards to adding context to the different parts of the show... The USER, CUT, & CPU portion might be more main stream to my specific community (MB Nation) where USER simply means the player you control. Cut means the player that you decide not to play. Cpu meaning the player you let the computer control. These decisions are all based upon skill sets that through my experiance of the game...matter most to there dedicated position.

Give it meaning- By going over specific ratings I'm conveying value to all that watch as the specific ratings I choose to highlight are highly dependent on that players success for their position. So when I compare SPD of HB's to each other it should scream that 99 spd is better then 93!

Thanks for the feedback and I will continue to try and spell out more clearly what it is im trying to say.

that is what I thought you meant by the the user, computer and cut feature, in which case i would have to ask why you don't talk about defensive units? I mean, if I were to talk about the 49ers defense in "user, computer, cut" segment I would talk make a list of players to think about user controlling, which one you should leave to the computer, and which ones you should look to making a change in the depth chart or planing your defense around.

In this example, I would let the computer take care of Patrick WIllis and A. Franklin the NT. I would think about using J. Smith at DE, MLB T. Spikes, and SS T. Mays. I would look to moving Lewis over to FS and let Mays start at SS or move Mays to FS. I would also think about making a substitute in the 3-3-5 nickle and 3-2-6 dime by putting OLB P. Harilson at LE in place of I. Sopoaga and letting Spikes and/or Lawson take over at the LB spot.

This way you are dealing with a single defensive unit and can appeal to both the sim crowd for making adjustments and realistic roster changes [the 49ers let Harilson pass rush from the end spot in real life] and also appeal to the tourny scene by talking about the power players to user control. you do all of this, while giving a nice break down of the 49ers defensive strengths and weaknesses.

To me, talking about random players on different teams doesn't really help me as much because I am not going to be playing all three at the same time to make that choice. Do you see what I mean? I would suggest a break down of one offensive unit and one defensive unit per week/day. You may even want to have little asides about how each player may appeal to you, or not, in a fantasy draft. Such as how Isac Sopoaga can become an 81 DT in a 4-3 defense, or how T. Mayes would be a great project player seeing how he has raw talent and is a steal as a 71 OVR rookie, or how Patrick Willis would be a great first round selection in a fantasy draft.

Friends of mine and i can spend hours some nights just looking at rosters in Madden talking about these sorts of things. how these players are, or may be in real life, how they would/could be used ni madden, etc. I was kind of looking for something like that from your show... Maybe I'll try and do a show.
