Formation Substitutions

Either I am completely missing something, or have Formation Substitutions been completely removed from Madden??? This is an integral part of Gameplanning, and it kind of blows if you aren't able to do this. I can understand why they might not allow it for online games.

Is there somewhere that I am not looking???

The only place you can do it is in an actual game. In each formation on the playcall screen you can hit R1(ps3) for subs. Not sure what the button is called on 360. At first I was like this is horrible because while you do this the play clock runs. But I've found in an offline game you can turn the play clock off after the kickoff but before the 1st play from scrimmage to make your subs in each formation. Then you can turn the play clock back on.

Thats a good idea, last year I would just take one game and use that to make all of my subs and then restart.

Does anyone know if we make the formation subs, will they be carried over into gameplans in-game?

Yeah, I do it in game. How can you turn the play clock off, though?

Pause the game, go to game options and turn play clock on/off option.
