WR's dropping wide open passes on All-Madden difficulty?!?!

I can deal with it when they catch a ball and get hit and drop it. 8/10 deep passes that I throw hit the receiver in the hands and he just drops it. And there's not anyone within 4 yards of him. It's really irritating. All Madden is supposed to be harder, but it seems the difficulty is generated by subpar blocking and easy receptions being dropped for no reason. It was like that last year also. Sliders don't help. So other suggestions would be appreciated.

    I've experienced that too.
What I find weird is they seem to drop lobs a lot more than they drop bullet passes. Perfect lobs are dropped 7 out of 10 times.

I have this crazy idea instead of starting another thread about this, why dont you jack your WR catch up to 100 and catch every pass that you throw....

I agree totally with this post.

It is frustrating when I have good receivers, who have high catch ratings, who are among the league leaders in drops by the end of the season.

So many times I've had drives come to crashing halts, or had potential points taken off the board, all because a highly rated WR dropped a wide open reception.

And the blocking... I watch highly rated run blockers like Mike Iupati, in his 2nd year as an A potential rated player (becomes 88 overall with run blocking ratings in the 90's) get tossed aside like he's Wes Welker blocking a semi-truck EVERY single time I run the ball up the middle.

I have an idea, how about you play on something other than all pro or rookie and you'll see what I'm talking about. I've jacked it all the way up and it still doesn't help.

That's the way it's always been

All Madden = regardless of the players skill rating, they will drop passes, get tackled on the first hit, and miss wide open players on passes, fumble, and miss tackles all the time.

Hated this about All-Madden. Thats why I changed it to 14 (from 15) for the difficulty. Besides the fact they make every RB into Jim Brown vs. me

                  Then that's Custom, not All-Madden.

The other night, I was playing with the Panthers. I sent Steve Smith on a fly route and he beat the DB like a drum. He didn't even attempt to catch the ball. The ball ended up hitting him on the back of the head and bouncing off his shoulder pads. It was at this point I almost retired from Madden for good!!!

All madden cheats to make games close and more exciting. Really it just makes them more frustrating. Swatted passes that are miraculously caught. Broken gang tackles by the bummiest of ball carriers, open dropped pass on offense, passes where the receiver drops it over the middle for a pick, fumbling despite having high carrying yet all the hitsticks and strips in the world wont pop APs ball out, corners just standing there, and receivers stopping on there route. Fact is all madden just has procedural awareness.

I think the level itself should explain why they drop passes...

It's not like the level was designed to make the humna players better....it was designed to help the CPU win games at all cost.

The thing is it's been this way for years why would it change now?

I guess for those who choose to play on the level they also have to be willing to accept these types of things happening. If you can't accept it why even bother playing on the level?

there are no real difficulty levels. it's just making your own team progressively worse and the cpu progressively better. you can have randy moss wide open and tom brady will over throw him by 15 yards. and if your qb hits the throw, it'll most likely be dropped. player attributes are dropped when upping the level. why even play on all madden if you're going to complain about stuff like this?
