Offline dynasty question

I'm looking to start an offline dynasty without getting any tuners or patches. How does the game play out of the box? Any major gameplay problems? Any major progression, depth chart or dynasty problems? Thanks for any comments.

I wouldn't recommend playing with the patches. They have made the gameplay much better than straight out of the box

Thank you for this response I am getting a PS3 tomorrow with Madden 11 and wanted to know that question. I haven't played a video game in 6 years how will I update Madden?

patches improved the game a lot. Use them!!!

Go online and it will update the rosters when you enter a game

Thanks. The patches in NCAA were needed for messed up dynasty progression, but they seemed to hurt the gameplay. It sounds like in MAdden the patches have helped the gameplay quite a bit. I haven't heard of dynasty issues in MAdden, so I assume it runs pretty well. Thanks again.
