Getting Bored

So I am primarily an offline franchise player. I will sometimes throw in a few online games. The problem is that I am getting very bored with Madden. I need some suggestion on how to make this game exciting again. I have been tempted to trade it in and buy NBA 2k11...but then I won't have any football game if I decide I want to play football sometime in the future.

I always pick crap teams and try to rebuild them in franchise mode...but it gets boring due to the lack of depth in that mode.

Any suggestions on how to get back into the game or should I just get NBA 2k11 and get rid of Madden?

I have the same prob, it's essentially the same game each year, so the lack of freshness causes it to get stale rather quickly. Don't know what to tell you.

I tried that a few weeks ago. It was okay...but I got tired of that as well...this sucks. How frustrating that this game has lost appeal after about a month of playing it.

Ultimate is the best feature in Madden. It's fun to play against people online with crappy players. They failed at the offline play though. You get to pick and choose who to play. I would rather have the game choose who I play to make it more interesting. Madden will forever be the same until someone like 2K get's rights to make an NFL title. EA is just a bad company all together. Look at NBA Elite. I'd go with NB2K11 if I were you. It's the most amazing sports game I've played. The only problem is ISO which shouldn't be a problem to learn. Or just wait for Medal of Honor.

Well based on this one and a thread I posted in the 2K section i have decided that I am going to be trading in Madden and getting 2K11. It had been 3 years since I bought a Madden game...and I initially thought this year was worth the wait...but it has turned into all the other Maddens I have bought in the past where it's the same old features and I get bored with...I am hoping that 2K11 can meet my needs in terms of being playable for a long period of time.

I am bored with my offline franchise. But, a friend and I from work are doing a dynasty together with created teams and a fantasy draft it is a blast. plus we play against each other when we are the away team.

I'm in the same boat as you (bored, like crap teams, not sure if should trade in). I also don't want to trade it in as it is the only game out there for an NFL 'fix' but since buying it the day it came out I think i've played about 6 games and not played it in weeks. It's easily the worst 360 purchase i've made to date.

I just dont know if it's worth selling or keeping just in case. I'm buying 2k11 2mo, that should take my mind off things...

I have officially given my Madden copy to Gamestop and am now home with 2K11...I hope the exchange proves worth it

I skipped Madden this year and it was probably one of the best decisions I've made regarding gaming. I was going to hold out on NBA 2k11, but I just broke down and bought it for the pc and it's a great game.

The way I see it I just saved at least $90!

I understand your frustration.
I would suggest looking at NCAA 11.
NCAA 11, in my opinion, is the best video football game ever made.

... besides Super Tecmo Bowl of course.

But seriously - NCAA 11 is a great game.

Madden is garbage.

Yeah, at least I can complete an offline franchise... once the commish knows he's not gonna make the playoffs, online franchises fold like cheap chairs. If I wasn't given this game as a gift from my wife, I would have traded it in or at least stopped playing. I gotta pop it in at least once a week or she'll start naggin about how much it cost just to collect dust.

guys try using hard sliders to make the game harder, download real draft classes from people off this site, and download ppls rosters off here. I did that and now i feel like im more in depth with the game n it doesnt bore me cause i get that real life football feeling

People put too much stock in adjusting the sliders. Moving the sliders any where past all pro starts the Madden cheat machine, any lower than all pro and you might as well stop playing period. As far as draft classes are concerned... it's still Madden 11 so some made up players won't make the slightest difference either. That's like changing the the tires on a car in the junk yard... it's still not going to run any better than it already is.
