i only have had problems with the infamous blue disks but now madden won't read, its not a blue disk and ncaa 2004 works fine the disk is pristine no marks..help me please!!!

I have had lots of problems with discs not working, i used disc cleaners and everything but the thing that i found that worked the best if its the disc that is not working is to use toothpaste. This is only my way of cleaning discs it was my last resort and it worked. But there are no marks on ur disc, so i do not know about the cleaning idea with toothpaste, just a suggestion, good luck

I have an older model Playstation 2 that gave me the same error...try this, I hope I have it right. (make sure the disc tray is open until I say close it) At the main menu of the PS2, where the lil balls are floating, press Triangle, then go up to the first option, press triangle again, turn the option on, then go back to the main menu and close the tray. let me know if this works. sorry for the sloppy typing, goin' play Madden some mo', and let me know if it works.Comment

thanks but i actually got a remedy from another post where i took the cover off it(yeah i was sweating bullets as i carefully peeled back the warranty void sticker) and took the cover off the dvd tray there is a laser adjustment wheel in the unit that allows one to adjust the laser angle and it actually worked right away, i could not believe it, i also wish i could have tried your method first, but thanks man, im lovin the game...i haven't checked if ncaa still works though.....

all i can tell you man is that if it is possible microsoft is probably not going to make it as easy as sony to get at, but i don't know for sure, i found my remedy by scouring message boards for disc read errors.
