How does the Lockout affect you in regards to Madden 12?

As the NFL Lockout continues to drag on with no end in sight (at least in the near-future), how does that affect your deicision to buy Madden 12?

Will you get the game no matter what?

If the Lockout continues into August, what will you do then? Will you refuse to buy Madden until the labor dispute is settled?

I have to be honest, the Lockout has really soured me on the NFL recently. I usually get amped up for the NFL Draft but I hardly watched this year, even though my Giants did well in the opening rounds.

As for how it affects me in regards to Madden, I have to be honest, if the Lockout goes deep into August and pushes back the start of the season, or worst-case scenario, regular season games are canceled, I will have a hard time picking up Madden 12.

Affects me none whatsoever. I will be getting Madden no matter what. Luckily I won't really have to "buy" it, will be using credit card points to get it.

I'll be getting Madden like i usually do not matter what happens w/ the Lockout.

The NFL lockout really doesn't affect me as to wheather I will buy Madden 12 or not. I will buy Madden 12 no matter if the lockout is still going on in August or not. So in other words no the lockout does not have any affect on me. Madden 12 will be in my hands day one when it come out.

I'm not sure. Usually I want to play Madden the most when the Redskins are not on TV, so it might make me want it more.

The past couple years I've actually started to wait to pick up Madden, after being so thoroughly disappointed year in and year out. With the lockout, I'll wait longer as there's no real rush to pick the game up with the NFL itself in limbo. I think a lot of Franchise players will be in the same boat.

Still a day one purchase for me regardless of what becomes of the NFL labor situation...Though I'll admit it's a blast playing Madden on one tv while the tv next to it plays an actual game.

In a similar thread I said I would wait because of roster issues but seeing that we have expanded rosters now. I'm back to first day purchase.

I was going to skip it for only the 2nd time since there was a Madden game and just get NCAA. Watching the games on tv makes me want to play the video game.
After finding out that EA has made improvements to franchise mode all that logic went out the window and now lockout or not I am getting the game.

Ditto....I second this. No NFL would mean me playing madden all day sunday!!!!

I assume we'd get whatever the current rosters are and they would implement the old rules for free agency and we could go from there. As mentioned in the past, if they settle, roster updates are easy.

It won't, to be honest. The one-and-only thing that will affect my purchasing decision - and I'm beating a dead horse here - is significant improvements to the game's offline gameplay depth, specifically franchise mode.
