Trading in Madden 11 and NCAA 11

Well it is done. Even though May 16th is Monday I feel pretty confident now in where Madden 12 is heading. I also love how NCAA 12 has looked too.

The time to do it was right now as at gamestop I was able to get 23 bucks for both games plus if I traded a 3rd game worth at least more than 2 bucks I got an additional 10 dollar credit. So I traded in a couple of other non sports games that I played to death and got a nice 41 dollar total allowance towards Madden 12 and NCAA 12.

NCAA 2011 was an amazing ride. I played 4 seasons with my Canes Chise as well as 3 great years with Marshall. This was a tough decision as I normally play my sports games at least 2 cycles. But NCAA 2012 looks like it will be even better than NCAA 11 with refined tackling, presentation and a better RTG and dynasty mode.

Madden 2011 - a good game. I had fun for one season with 4 teams and recently did a fantasy draft that was a great squad but their life got cut short as I made the trade yesterday. So I will play Head Coach 09 for my football fix till the summer.

EA.....make me feel good about this!!!

How many of you are pondering making the trade. And I would encourage you do it very very soon as values will drop like a rock in a couple of weeks.

Yeah for Madden 11 and NCAA 11 combined. I know...it stinks. And they turn around and charge 40 bucks used prices for those right now.

That's about 11.50 per game.....what would they give you after m12 comes out? I always turn in my old madden games because I rarely play them if I like the new game.

One valuable lesson I've learned over the years is craigslist. There's always someone who wants something at some point. You get you're money's worth. He'll I bought mw2 a year later just to get on 360, and it was 25 bucks, fair to him and for for me.

If you are getting Madden 12 trade your 11 in right now. By the time the summer hits (July) they won't give more than 4-5 bucks for it.

The key here was the additional 10 credit for a third game valued at more than $2 trade value. So that was the kicker. Otherwise I would have kept the game and kept playing my fantasy chise till 12 came out. But I found some value with that credit.

I did the math and by trading in these 4 games (the other 2 were Assasians Creed I and Force Unleashed I) I am paying 39.99 for both Madden 12 and NCAA 12. If I wait till December then I can get those prices (with no trade)...but I want my football games in August and I am not playing these games really anymore (Immersed in NBA2K11 & MLB The Show 11). The 2 non-sports games I have played and beaten 2 times over.

I don't ever trade in my games, not worth it.......Unless you do it a month within release, that is the only time you get fair value for it.

Besides I always like to keep my sports game for I can always go back to compare it with the new game.

Ohhhh, it's cheaper to keep her!!!

Never trade a Madden game in. You lose $1000 when you drive it off the lot. Especially late in the year... You have to trade Madden in while people are still buying it heavy to get anything for it... But then its too early to have squeezed all the fun out of it.

I don't think beyond presentation and sexier graphics NCAA 12 will be that much different from NCAA 11

In fact you can clearly see the difference in gameplay from NCAA 10 to NCAA 11 but 12 is basically the same game from the way players move to their demeanor on the field. Sure there's a few tweaks to animations but nothing substantially different.

I'll be purchasing NCAA 12 but it's not worth trading in my copy of NCAA 11

As for Madden i don't think i've played more than 1 franchise season in Madden since Madden 06 on PS2.

The game simply hasn't been that good IMO until Madden 11 but EA turned that version into a dominating offensive version where speed mattered more than anything else.

One thing for sure I'm not buying Madden on release date for the 1st time in like forever........I'm going to rent it this year to make sure it's worth my $60 because over the past 5 years the product hasn't matched it's price tag on the field

I'm with you I just stopped trading in my games completely. I always felt like I was getting a raw deal. Oh how I wish I still had all my old systems with the games I enjoyed. I still have my PS2 with some of the games I enjoyed. This gen I have managed to keep keep all my games. Never know; they may be collectors someday.

I don't know about craigslist, but I bought NCAA and Madden used off ebay just two weeks ago to give them another shot post patches. Everyone has been talking about how great NCAA 11 was so I thought it was finally time to get it. I got Madden for $13 bucks and NCAA cost me $16. So selling them off ebay netted the guy $29.

In the end, I didn't like the games any more than I did 9 months ago and traded them both back in again yesterday for $23 and picked up Lego Pirates of the Caribbean for my kids.

Yea I checked on those prices at GS the other day for store Credit. I don't understand why they give you only 10$ for Madden and NCAA 11$. When they are still clearly saling both of them used for 47$. That's why I wheather just keep my madden 11 even after I get Madden 12 this year. Not enough money to part with Madden 11 so soon.

I have sold games on ebay before. Normally I hand down my sports titles (that I don;t want) to my brother in-law but he did not like Madden 11 (he still plays Madden 10) and just picked up NCAA 10 for 3 bucks. that I told him was a mistake as 11 is the best ever.
