Re: What would be a fun commentator team?

The Sklar Brothers would be awesome, cheap seats was my favorite show when it was on.

I wish they would have a more fluid commentary. There are too many breaks or changes in inflection that take you out of it. The score is the worst, its the most easily addressable too; just record Gus Johnson (or whoever they have doing the scores) saying Bears 0, Bears 2, Bears 3, then move onto the Bills 0, Bills 2, Bills 3 etc.

The other fixes would be much more complex (other than not having a break between "Players Name" and "Comment about player" by prerecording the entire phrase) they would have to analyze what is really said on a week to week basis and forming a dialogue based on what is typically talked about. They have conversations etc. during broadcasts and yet we only get the same phrases with an insert name here aspect to them.

Another way to avoid the repetitiveness of the broadcast would be to have multiple commentary crews, switching up who is saying what would make it seem less repetitive even if they are saying the same thing. They could even throw in a different presentation package for the different crews.

I'd be more than happy having the option to download alternate commentaries. Instead of having to settle for Gus and Chris, it would be cool to have the option to get a crew completely unattached to a football broadcast like the Sklar Brothers, who would offer a more humorous commentary, or actors with distinct voices (Christopher Walken for example).

You see, they guy who does Geoff Peterson's voice, Josh Robert Thompson, also does an amazing Arnold, Robert DeNiro, and Morgan Freeman as well. So he alone could make for an interesting booth.

I had mentioned him in a thread about using voice actors...I figure he could be in the booth by himself and talk like Madden, Charles Barkley etc.
