ps3 version vs. xbox 360 version

I think its just me but the xbox version looks way better than ps3 version probably the worst port in years. If anyone else sees a difference plz let me know cause I hope its just me.

I saw on the gametrailers video review they compared the two it does seem like ps3 owners got the shaft this year.

        Slight yes ..

But if you have a Plasma, THX certified and contrast on 100, then no, there's no difference ..

I have a vt25 professionally calibrated and there is a difference in the demos at least. 360 version ran smoother and looked better. I don't see how calibrating your tv would change that.

Also contrast at 100 on a plasma is just ridiculous. You'll have the scoreboard burning in in no time

I've got the Panasonic Viera G20 .. anything under 90 for contrast you aren't even getting the full black and whites from your TV .. pointless to even use ..

Professionally Calibrated? Lol .. it doesn't take a professional to calibrate a Tv to your liking ..

                  Color in between 50 and 60, and brightness around 50 .. contrast between 90 and 100 ..

And since it has automatic scrubbing I don't have to worry about burning ..

Re: ps3 version vs. xbox 360 version

the xbox is 1080 (not sure if it's 1080i or 1080p) and the ps3 is only 720p although you can upscale it to 1080i. If you do upscale the ps3 version it won't look as good as the xbox for some reason. You'll also get a bit of lag when upscaling because the upscaling processor needs time to process and then upscale the video image, then and only then can it output it to your television.

If any one's interested go to this site and look for your TV in the forums they often have calibration settings for different brands of TV's. I have a Pioneer Elite Plasma 141 (60") http://www.controlcal.com/forum/index.php
Before I had mine Professionally Calibrated I went to the forums and some of the guys on their had some calibrations listed on my specific TV and the guy that calibrated my TV said I was pretty close pre-calibration so give it a try if you like.

Like others have said 90 to 100 contrast is way to much but if you like it that's all that matters.

This has got to be the most asinine comment ever made.

You can have your tv blessed by the pope and it would not make the games graphics better.

Agreed, I don't understand how people think that tv's or tv setting can repair graphical disrecpancies on a disk.

game play graphics look like crap on both version the cut scenes and close up look very good tho.

In your opinon but I think you either have a crappy TV or you're nuts. Game looks great. Yeah closeups look better but gameplay graphics are damn nice.
