Try pinching your offensive line. It can give you the extra second you need to get the pass off, pressure tends to come up the middle with your guards pulling.

The only way I've gotten it to work is if I throw as soon as my QB completes his dropback. If you wait at all it will be a sack most times.

I always pinch...ive even attempted to throw backpedalling but i suppose with the new logic of the QB required to set his feet you cant really dump it off as he is back pedalling..he''ll tuck and take sack

Although this play has a major flaw sometimes it can work. I drop back a little further than i should and invite the pressure then pass it with some up on the stick to get it high over the heads.

The major flaw with the play is that the playside tackle blocks the DE , then when the RB catches the ball he is only 2/3 yds away from that very DE who has been blocked very close to the RB and he often can just turn and make the tackle since he's right next to the RB. The play should let that playside DE into the backfield.

ARe you dropping back far enough? You are to draw the D toward you etc...by going back (further than a normal drop)
I haven't had any issues running screens at all.

Yep.. that's IMO the only issue. Sometimes it does help to get the deep drop and pump fake to a specific WR on the oposite side then dump it to back but you have to be quick about it...

Of course I am..probably further back then in '11 for that very reason..but im mashing the 'throw' button and if PR's feet arnt quite set..he'll tuck and take sack...

I run it out of the shotgun with a ton of success. I avoid the one in the strong formation because the RB runs backwards for whatever reason...

Same here, only out of the shotgun. I use the Broncos and they have like a cross screen and it usually works for a really nice gain, but I wouldn't run 5 in a row.

the times i have success with it, i have to scramble and throw the ball on the run.

Like Amaizen said you have to run the screen out of the shotgun. The issue being DT acceleration is higher than the QB going into his drop.

They can be executed but it can be tough. I actually scored on a WR screen today. 74 YRDS.

It was pretty cool how it all developed.

You say that like I should know you are..... You'd be surprised how many "this doesn't work" posts there are in these forums from people who don't know what they are doing.

I appreciate your help..but i think as a previous poster mentioned..the DT acc is greater than the drop back spd..will have to stick to shotgun
