HELP. QB won't throw the ball

I don't know if it is because I'm using Ben and it's in his traits or what, but sometimes I am not able to throw the ball. When I drop back to pass, I will press any reciever button and my QB will just pump fake. It doesn't matter if I press circle, square, or even R1, Ben will only pump fake and then immediately get sacked. Open reciever or not.

Is this because of Ben's traits or what? I know it's not my controller, I was able to pass earlier in the game, but now I can't. My controller works perfectly normal with other games as well.

You're not holding down the LB are you.... because if you are it makes the QB do a WR pump fake.

left trigger and a receiver button is a pump fake. obviously that.

I'm not holding any buttons other than the button corresponding to the receiver I'm trying to throw to. Like I said, he just won't throw and this is after throwing the ball all of the 1st quarter.

For more info, Ben was sacked maybe once before this started happening. This is the 2nd game in a row where this started happening and I quit both. (You wouldn't continue a game where you couldn't throw, would you?) These two games were also after the latest roster update, with Ben unedited. So he didn't lose his traits.

But on the other hand, why are there two different ways to pump fake? L2 and the receiver button or R1? Another question, why isn't the L2 and receiver button way in the manual?

The "Pump to a specific WR" is in the settings menu under controls. Have no idea why it's not in the in game manual.

Issue resolved. My L2 button was sticking ever so slightly. Thanks guys.
