How to change captains

Notice on tonights game that Tony Romo has the captain's badge on his uniform. In Madden 12 the Cowboys aren't wearing the badge. Is there a way to add it to the uniform?

You can change team captains during the preseason. All captains have the captain patch on their jerseys.

Thanks, I haven't started a franchise yet. Looks like the captains are Romo, McBriar, Ware, James and Whitten.

Not sure on this, but I think Madden limits you to three captains.

I think you're right, however in my first year as franchise I signed Brian Waters from the FA pool and he had a C so we had 4 captains. I think maybe if someone on the team has a "Team Mentor" player role he automatically gets a C even if there are already 3 designated.

The C still won't appear on the cowboys jersey though. I'm doing a franchise with them right now, and Romo has no C on his jersey.

Some reams in real life have captains on their team but not on the uniform like New England.

The Packers have new captains every week so they don't wear them unless they make it to the playoffs when they designate captains for the entirety of the playoffs.

I think what's happening in the game is that the Cowboys don't typically wear the patch so it's not programmed to show up on the jersey. I know I've never seen them wearing them (but then again I've never really paid attention to that when I've seen them).

I'm just astounded Romo is a captain. In Madden or real life. That guy is charismatically bankrupt on the football field.

How many yrs that said player has been a captain. Once it reaches 4 stars/yrs the captain "C" & stars are in gold.

Edit: this is the first year the Cowboys have ever worn the captain patches on their jerseys.

Not sure on this, but I think Madden limits you to three captains.

You can just go to player management and go to all NFL and then go to what ever player you want and make them a team captain so then you can get all 5 of your team captains.

The Stars Indicate How Long That Person Has Been A Captain. You Start Off With One Star Filled in On The Patch, (There Are 4 Total Stars On it.) If You Have Been A Captain For More Than 3 Years, All Four Stars Are Filled in. If You've Been A Captain For 4+ Years, You Get a Gold Patch With All Four Stars Filled in Gold.
