Controlling the WR After the Snap

(I'm not talking about hot routes before the snap or when you throw a pass, manually controlling the WR to make the catch.)

When you are scrambling with the QB I see that people are able to take control of a WR and change their route before passing to them. I have no idea how to do this. I'm on the 360 btw.

Right stick. I believe once you're out of the pocket it lets you "direct" the closest receiver. Basically, instead of your QB running for his life and your WR just stands with a DB in front of him, he'll actually go somewhere.

Thank you. I didn't realize it was that simple.

squeeze and hold the left trigger. use the right stick to direct the closet receiver. release the left trigger when you're ready to pass the ball. be sure to release the left trigger before you pass or you will just do a pump fake to that receiver. this can be done in the pocket as well as outside the pocket.

          Huh?

So by holding the left trigger, in the pocket, I can direct a WRs route?

yes, you can. i think it used to be called "play-maker" control. you will direct the receiver closet to you. it's been in madden before. you control the direction he will run with the right stick. he won't run the route that is drawn up in the play, once you take control. try it out in practice. just make sure to release the left trigger when you're ready to pass.

bojax is right, you need to hold LT along with moving the right stick.

Reece, I'm assuming for PS3 you just hold L2 and use the right stick.
