I hate to say this but Madden 12 on the Wii plays better than the PS3 version. I bought the Wii version because you can now play it with a classic controller (thank god) and I have to say it's more fun. The men are more responsive and the game play is tighter overall...if you can over look the lack of options and the cartoony graphics I would say it's worth a look. It's much closer to last gen anything that has been released on this hard gen hardware.

I own the PS3 and it's collecting dust until it gets fixed. The Wii is virtually flawless. It plays great out of the box. Just like us old schooler's were used to back in the day. It's the new Tecmo Super Bowl. Simple, but fun and challenging at the same time.
This game actually gets penalties right!!!! Very nice balance. I play in COACH mode and I've got the thing nailed down pretty good as far as sliders go. I've had some fantastic games.
I'm not looking for realism. I'm looking for game play.TECMOComment

Re: Madden 12 Wii > Madden 12 PS3
Imo, the younger set only know graphics, weren't brought up on the old gen and retro consoles, where graphcis weren't godly. Then during the 90's onwards, when the graphics become life-like enough, game-play itself became the biggest innovation in football games. This current gen, game studios (EA) have focused on graphics and stripped down the game-play and features/functions and innovations. So young gamers brought up on this gen or don't remember too well last gen, end up graphics-focused. This is evident across the range of game genres this gen. There's been far more progress and focus in graphics. It seems to be going that way still with the nextgen to come, bigger graphics cards and chips, studios aiming for movie-quality graphics and framerates. And if we're talking sports games, there's usually a yearly release cycle, so most of the devs would be focused on this aspect, taking up most of the time. However, one hopes that at some point, hopefully even next gen, that MS, Nintendo, Sony (+Apple/Google?) settle on a level of cpu power and we see a return to focus on game-play innovation, like 3D, augmented reality, so game-play becomes more important again.Kilroy was hereComment

Re: Madden 12 Wii > Madden 12 PS3
Well for some reason the grapics are worse than previous years on the Wii but as far as gameplay... this is the most fun I've had playing a football game since Tecmo Superbowl.... I have it for both Wii and 360 and I have to say the 360 took major strides forward and I do enjoy it as well but for sheer fun factor the Wii is getting my footballing time right nowComment
