All Pro difficulty out the box

I am not the best Madden player but I do know how to play the game. Can this game be enjoyed playing on All pro level? I tried to use sliders that were posted on here but I feel they are at times too easy. With that being said I also dont have time to F--K around with sliders. So my question is Can I just pop the game in and play some good games on STRAIGHT ALL pro (with the exception of some sub sliders? Also how many Minute Qtrs do you guys play on? Im lookin to start a Franchise this weekend since the Patch is here. Thanks for your help

Depends on YOU and WHO YOU PLAY...

If you play the CPU, expect to be disappointed at some point within the next 2-3 weeks. At some point the AI will do something stupid that unnerves you. All you have to do is look around to see all the posts from folks who have been less than impressed with Madden versus the CPU...

If you play humans, expect to be challenged in ways the CPU could NEVER challenge you. At some point you will see something that you've never seen the CPU do AND never seen in an NFL game (but might see in several years). If you look around, you'll also see posts from folks who played humans and were overwhelmed.

If all depends on you, your skill, your experience, and your ability to apply real football concepts to THIS VIDEO GAME.

it depends how good you are. i personally need to use sliders because All-pro is too easy for ME but all-madden is too glitchy and pissy. but i have friends who can only play pro because all-pro is too hard for them. it just varies on who you are. play a game on all-pro and see how you like it. i personally liked the idea of the madden test thing they introduced a few years ago where you would use the like holographic guy or whatever. it was a good idea if they would make it better.

        I play AP w/o sliders.
Sometimes it is too easy but I have only played 10 games in my franchise.
Suggest you start with a mediocre team.

I also have no time or patience with sliders but I think AP default is a good base that we can make some small tweaks on when we get better.
But, of course, it depends on much you play and how much you improve.

        Good Luck!

To start with maybe - but I'd watch how my games go, especially my wins. If it looks like I'm shutting the CPU down too much, I'd increase that area by about 10 points.

So if you're holding the CPU to, say, 55% completion consistently and the WR aren't dropping stuff, I'd up QB Acc and lower Human Pass Reaction by 10 points each. If you're getting too many picks off the CPU - I'd do the same CPU QB Acc +10 and then HUM Interceptions -10.

Stuff like that. Let's you make some quick adjustments to tweak the game without worrying about if 43 is too high or 58 is too low, etc.

Or, you could make a lot of profiles and put in some different sliders. That way switching is just a matter of loading a different profile. You'd have to enter them in once when you make a new profile, but after that, just switch profiles. A real godsend for me at least! (I have 6 profiles just for different slider sets I try out and my own sliders experiments/testing)

Agreed - MySkill was an idea with promise. Too bad they don't develop ideas but just drop them

I was wondering if they got rid of my skill. I didn't play much Madden the last couple years but I really liked that feature. Sometimes it would swing too much but it seemed to balance out over time. I had some really good games with it. I wish they would of developed it more. I have also thought for years that EA needs something between All-Pro and All-Madden for Madden/NCAA. I don't like messing with the sliders a ton because I get into a mental parodox of am I winning/losing because the sliders. I am only playing NCAA now but I usually look at the end of season stats and make small adjustments at that point, that way I am not constantly changing things. I also wish Madden had player lock on defense. I use that on NCAA to make playing defense a bit more difficult.

MySkill went from back-of-the-box feature to out of the game completely in 3 years.

I'm playing with all user sliders @ default All-Pro and then bumped CPU Pass, CPU Rush and CPU Rush Defense up to 65-75, depending on the slider. I'm liking the challenge so far.

You will get used to All Pro very quickly and start destroying the computer on a routine basis. I started out just like you and had some really close games against the CPU for about 12 games, then I had to switch to All-Madden

It's different for everyone. I think it's the best difficulty. All Madden the CPU cheats/unrealistically inflates attributes, but on All Pro in a Fantasy Draft I went like 14-2 and then lost by 30 points in the AFC Championship game to a team that I beat in the regular season.
