Cpu is constantly subbing in/out qb's every week in franchise mode
Sorry if this doesn't deserve its own thread, but I feel this needs alot of attention. Everytime I bring this issue up in appropriate threads it just gets swept under the rug. I have tried every possible fix and it hasn't worked. I can't start a franchise mode because of this stupid issue...it's ruined to me. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?Tags: None -

This is not correct, every team does it. There is no way every team's back up has 7 passing TDs and 1000 yards because Something else is the issue, anyone have any idea?Comment

Actually, I am being real. Thats about what it was for the ones who had the best stats. Either way, they clearly are getting reps that they should not be and it only happens in Simmed Games.Comment

Okay so the best of them have 1000 yards and 7 touchdowns... Sounds about right. Have you tried turning off sim injuries and checked to see what happens.
I just don't believe you when you say that all or even most backups in the league have over a 1000 yards and 5 touchdowns.Comment

I'll probably try that. If it does work, it's sad that we have to sacrafice realism to cover up ea's mistakes..Okay so the best of them have 1000 yards and 7 touchdowns... Sounds about right. Have you tried turning off sim injuries and checked to see what happens.

You don't have to believe me, if you don't experience this this problem you should either be helping us remedy the issue or not comment at all.Okay so the best of them have 1000 yards and 7 touchdowns... Sounds about right. Have you tried turning off sim injuries and checked to see what happens.

To answer your question, no I haven't tried that because if thats what it takes then I guess I'll have to let it happen, I'm not turning Sim-Injuries off.Comment

Re: Cpu is constantly subbing in/out qb's every week in franchise mode
Injuries have nothing to do with it, I had a thread a few weeks ago about this that was a few pages long. I turned injuries off and it still occurred. I simulated dozens of quick seasons to test it out.
It seems to generally go away after the first 4-5 weeks of the season, so it seemed like something EA coded into franchise to "see how QBs played". It was also far more prevalent for lower rated QBs (IE you don't see Brady getting subbed out nearly as often).
I personally just checked each game and if there was an obvious sub that was bad, just re-simmed the game. I could not find a solution to make it stop. Auto-subs have no affect on simmed games, and fatigue doesn't help/change the behavior.Comment

Re: Cpu is constantly subbing in/out qb's every week in franchise mode
Huh, it could be that the "cold streak" QB's OVR actually dips below the "hot streak" QB's overall at some point in the simulated game. At that point, the depth chart changes and the backup becomes the starter until their OVR either dips back down or the old starter's OVR dips back up.
If that's the case though, then it is silly, because hot or cold streaks during a game should not be affecting the depth chart like that.Comment

Well I know someone said they tested it but I turned sim-injuries off and simmed a bunch of seasons and in 4 years not a single backup threw a pass.MLB: Boston RedSox
NFL: Tennessee Titans
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
NCAA: Washington Huskies
